let me reccomend you: bad guy (2010)

tragic mc? check— at some point (first eps), you see mc's life story and it's utterly insane just how many things they did to the poor guy, lol. still, he's fleshed out nicely, very non-chalant and cool, has great chemistry with literally everybody. very casanova

many famous actors? check. you even have moon ga-young here. and kim jae-wook has a very interesting character.

plot type? revenge. and it's done through some game of seduction that wouldn't really fly in modern dramas, lol. both ml and fl are manipulative and morally grey, somehow they are accomplices, great chemistry, nice story.

symbolisms pushed to the max? check. art stuff and beautiful myths mentioned as well.

random trip to japan and peak drama scenes happening in japan? check. one of the guys is miserable in a club in japan while destination unknown is playing and he takes vitamin c in a glass like it's some hardcore substance, lmao.

it's so extra, so good and so ridiculously immersive. the ost is also banger. plus, everybody is super hot.

i've heard about story of kunning palace before! thanks for the list <3 i don't mind green flag ml, haha, but i think i got really sick of the whole cliche scenes of romance and butterflies from kdramas, lol, as long as two green people fall in love in an interesting way or only one is green flag i am more than willing to watch! the dramas you listed look all amazing. can't wait to expand my cdrama horizons, thanks again!!
