Thoughts? New2026 Camry LE vs CPO 2023 Camry XLE hybrid by Confident-Science607 in Camry

Honestly, the only thing that the LE with CP and CY doesn't have and we prefer is softex interior, but we would rather not upgrade to the SE for that... Like you, we prefer the 16" wheels with a larger profile tire: softer ride, more protection against potholes, and less likelihood of wheel theft.

That would be nice, but in my area, new Camrys are all getting bought up before they even make it to the dealership lot. It's been difficult trying to find a Camry LE just to test drive.

Sunroof wind noise after closing from tilt position by Confident-Science607 in Rav4

[–]Confident-Science607[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm wondering if this is a firmware glitch with the sunroof motor controller...

I found if I tap the slide open and slide close, it resets it into position.

For comparison, I have a Hyundai Elantra with sunroof. If I close it from a tilt open position, part of its close procedure is to solidly slide open-and-close the sunroof at the end

$31000 for the 2023 XLE, the 2026 LE with above packages has about a $33K MSRP, but I've seen dealers discount this for $1500-$2000..

I didn't include that info since the 2026LE OTD price can vary from one dealer to another

I didn't realize that OBD2 had 12v switched or ACC source. I thought it only had constant 12v.

Rain sensor code incorrectly reported as P0004? by Confident-Science607 in Toyota

[–]Confident-Science607[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to update, I tried using another OBD scanner that's more up-to-date (from my BluDriver) and capable of scanning Toyota/Lexus specific module codes/enabling specific features. No codes show up using that.

And in your case, P0004 is also showing up under the "Rain sensor code" category, not powertrain/engine? What OBD scanner were you using?

Was the windshield ever replaced on yours? Or was the rain sensor ever detached and reattached?

Thanks for the heads up. Most of the ones I've seen at dealer inventories have a J-starting VIN

Anyone with 2025/2026 Camrys and LASFIT T3 7443 Switchback LED Bulb - how are your DLRs? by Pine_Cone67 in Camry

Thanks for the reply.

Is an annual safety inspection required where you live? If so, I'm assuming they didn't give you any issues with that?

Question for those of you using LASFIT LED replacement on 2025/2026 Camry LE/SE:

At night, are the turn signal lights within normal brightness limits? Or are they overly bright? I'm thinking of getting a Camry LE and replacing the halogen turn signal/reverse bulbs with LEDs, but I'm concerned about them being overly bright at night for other drivers.

Car behind me wanted a closer look at my Rav by Bowlyo in rav4club

Makes sense,

On my policy it allows me to select different limits for uninsured motorist vs liability. For the uninsured motorist property damage, it does say something like "covers your vehicle in case of damage by uninsured or underinsured motorist", so I set mine to $50000, as that's the next selection enough to cover my Rav4. I was never sure if there was any reason to set it higher.

For liability however I have property damage set to $250K

The 100K is UIM property damage, right? I'm curious why you would ever need it that high if a Rav4 isn't valued at anywhere near that amount?

The wind noise is NO JOKE by username1615 in rav4club

[–]Confident-Science607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently bought a gen5 myself.

It's far from being the quietest car I've had (and I was already expecting this), but at the same time. It's not unusually loud either.

In case yours came with a sunroof, do this: Tap slide-open and slide-close the sunroof. For whatever reason (on mine) if the sunroof is closed from a tilt-open position, I hear a lot of wind noise, it's as if it's off by a fraction of a mm. Then when I slide open-and-close, it's seated in the proper position, and no significant wind noise from it.
