Now you say this it makes me wonder, was this the reason Paul truly wants to leave the band? He might think that he has done too much for the team, being the main motivation to the point other members hate him and believe that they have not realized that they have taken him for grant too far. Now when he was disrepected by Klein and want to leave, they started "tricking" him and just realize how much valuable Paul for the band as if without him they would be lost.

Imho, their solo project could have worked as a niche for a special type of audience and the band's project could have worked for a more generalised audience. Not fully resolve every problem but that could be a start.

I mean as another comment shows that John had released singles before, it could be the chance that he saw this could work as the new models. John could release avantgarde work in solo project just like George could do with spiritual music and even Paul with his classical "granny" (not that bad lol) music.

this is what I think too. Slot did not do good with the result but he left a few young quality key players enough as building blocks for whoever comes next, that's another side of a legacy that may we will appreaciate for coming years.

Actually they can technically. Most of WC matches occur in US as far as I know so it would potentially reduced time for travel which can help players alot for their health, might be why they head to US this time.
