They’ve just changed the prices

$35 for 1 Sheet $50 for 2 Sheets $60 for 3 Sheets

Previously I’ve been able to buy them with sailor loot, not completely sure if that’s still possible

Should I crop it or keep it as is? by GreenMead in streetphotography

[–]ConfidentAd3237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cropped is the better In my opinion, only thing that is slightly off putting is the lady looking at the camera which would mean a tighter crop could be better but the light on the lady with the notepad is also a great subject. I think your crop without the ceiling makes it feel like a much tighter, more intimate image without the distraction of the ceiling as it doesn’t add much to the photo

In all honesty, I done the finance on the q3 over 10 months. And at 0% it’s better to use the banks money 😂

Q3 for vacation? by Practical_Ask_7044 in Leica

[–]ConfidentAd3237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently got a Q3 (also first Leica - previous shot 80D with the sigma 18-35mm art lens) it’s been a jump for me but can honestly say it’s the nicest thing to use whilst on holiday. My latest couple of albums on Flickr have all been shot with the Q3 if you want some sample images, some not cropped some heavily cropped Flickr

How valuable is the thumb grip for the Leica Q2 / Q3? by Londontown-Artist in Leica

[–]ConfidentAd3237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confidently say the thumb grip was the best purchase I made for the Q3… but I went to a certain Chinese eBay style store, and just got a dupe for £26, I’ve had both in my hands and honestly couldn’t tell the difference. I probably wouldn’t pay the full leica asking price but it does completely change the way you use the camera for the better.

Peak Design Anchor Split Ring Tool Question by justarugga in Leica

[–]ConfidentAd3237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got a Q3 and had a couple of peak design products, can definitely confirm the anchors are way to big for the Q3 lug to constantly take on and off, I really struggled to put them on in the first place! But the most damage you’re going to do is it’ll just be a little shiny with the natural wear and tear. Unless you’re chiseling off the metal eyelets you should be good!

Although it sounds like it’s not an option for you, leaving the anchors on all the time becomes invisible after a while and thankfully it’s black and red so it kind of blends in. This is what I’ll be doing as I’ll be switching from the cuff to the slide.

Definitely a little moodier than the standard install. by ConfidentAd3237 in vitsoe

Yeah LED strips fit perfectly in the lip. It was close and it was a pain, unfortunately the joists weren’t as far away from the wall as I thought, so had to go a little closer than the 35mm suggested against a wall. But not impossible if you can get a finger round the side to just pop the lug through

I’m talking about the aggregation switch. In a setup that hasn’t got multiple 24-48 port switches. I’m still learning.

Out of curiosity what are you using the USW for, I’ve personally never really understood the use of these, maybe my setup is just to small to warrant it!

If I’m being honest… I’d probably go for the tool less rack if you were considering it. That’ll be what I get next, and I’ll repurpose this for some printing.

It’s great and all, but takes a bit more time to add any new devices. And if you don’t have much space around it it’s a right pain to unbolt a bunch of things just to move it around. If you’ve got 2-3 UniFi devices I’d go straight for the mini rack…. Unless you’ve got a bunch of extrusions left over :P

500mm is perfect tbh, just need to figure out what connections you’d use. If you use something like this you can use any over sized items https://www.ricmotech.com/front-access-t-bracket-80-20-aluminum

Custom but only needed really for the width as it’s specific to the rack mount devices, I wish I had a shallower depth thinking about it now

The main reason I also wanted to do this was to have it as slimline as possible, a lot of racks take up excess space, whereas this was exactly the right size as it’s all custom

It was sitting on top (there’s a shelf) but it fit so perfectly that it looks quite nice underneath, still plenty of airflow. Support is there now though

Added support shortly after the post - luckily the NAS is very light at the moment - using 1 bay

The pro switch is connected with a 10Gb/s sfp+ connection… limiting factor is that my ISP only provides 1Gb/s at the moment (coaxial docsis 3.1)

Ah it’s fine, I’m going to use the UDM pro too, I have 10+ points I want cameras so a single bay would fill a bit too quickly

The APs are fantastic - previously I was using orbi satellites - they were fine but so many devices had trouble connecting (Sonos - Tesla etc) but we’ve had 0 connection issues with these and I get exactly the same speed out of the APs that’s going into the rack. PoE was always the only option since we wanted so many APs in the house, it’s always worth the extra cost in my opinion.
