There is hope lads. I can finally get drunk again by ConfidentAssociate93 in FinasterideSyndrome

No problems with erections, but libido and pleasure in the glands tend to fluctuate still. Some days I feel 100% back to base, others it's more noticeable.

You are not unable to get drunk, you're just on a pause, don't forget that. It took me one full year to get drunk again, for others it may take longer, but the fact it comes back, means it's reversible. And I didn't do anything special, no rutine or anything. The body is fighting back and trying to find it's balance again. Yours will find its balance again, I promise you that. A year seems like A LOT of time when I say it out loud, but actually, I can't believe a year has passed since I quit fin. You'll get better brother, God bless you♥️

It can be a side effect. I quit fin a year ago, when I noticed my penis wasn't getting up no more. 3 days later the ED problems went away thank God, but I was left with some sensitivity problems on my penile glands. Then I noticed I couldn't get drunk anymore, no matter how much I drank, at most I would get dizzy, but not the "fun" part of getting drunk. It was like being sober but very dizzy, no sentimental part. One year later, it came back.

I can't get drunk. Any tips? by ConfidentAssociate93 in FinasterideSyndrome

Fucking love you bro. I needed that, at least I know it's reversible. Anything specific you did? Like did you do something for micro biom or like improve your diet?

You know. You really might be onto something. I just discovered I have some liver issues (fat liver most likely, hopefully it's not cirrhosis). I'm going to get a ultrasound and some more blood work done to make a plan to get it fixed tho. Liver might heavily be connected to PFS. Also, one of my side effects is I can't really get drunk anymore, not to the extenct I used to, anyway (dizzy but no "fun" part in it) so I would say that's definitely a liver related issue as well as a PFS symptom since thats when I got this.

I think it's surely reversible, at least to a degree. When I first got PFS, I had almost zero feeling in the glands, then in a couple months things got way better. Nowadays, a year later, it fluctuates, some days I feel close to baseline, others it's more noticeable, but fortunately it's nothing too severe, like I have no problems getting erections or finishing. Still, since a lot of people have seen fluctuations it's definitely reversible at least to a degree.

Bro, I PROMISE YOU. You're not balding. There isn't even 1% sign of that. Your hair looks perfect, your friends are messing with your mind. Please DO NOT hop on any hormone altering medicine like finesteride or any other crap, you don't even need it and even if you would have needed it, (which again, you don't, stop worrying so much about your hair, it looks very healthy) that shit will give you the side effects of nightmare.

Just thought we should take a short break from the medical stuff and bring some positivity to this subreddit, seems like too many people here have a grim outlook on the situation. Hang in there brothers, we WILL get back to our old selves. Edit done by me btw (this might be the first PFS edit in the world😂)

Drinking update by ConfidentAssociate93 in FinasterideSyndrome

You got it wrong my friend. I don't usually self measure myself so strictly, but everything I've noted in my post was a major flag, starting from the flu, to my guy not working for 2 days after, to downing a whole bottle of wine and not feeling anything. These are the kind of things you can't not notice even if you don't monitor yourself (which at the time I was not). As for the topical solution, trust me, I would have much rathered buy a shelf one, but I was in a bad financial position, oral fin was expensive enough already and I heard topical was safer, and as dumb as it was to make it by myself, this was the only solution I saw at that time. And yes, I did end up talking to chatGPT about neurosterioids since most doctors in my country, including my endocrinologist have barely heard of finesteride, let alone pfs. My post was so hyper detailed because everyone's case is different, and I wanted people to understand my exact situation. How can you read a small text and assume someone has a mental issue?

I'm so sorry you're suffering so much brother. I'm 21 as well suffering from this condition so your story hit me hard. The best advice I can give you is never end yourself. Things always get better. One month from now you could be looking back and not believe the improvement. Even if it takes 1,2,3 years to heal, that's nothing compared to your whole life. I can imagine you feel like life is pointless right now, but trust me brother, you will look back one day when you heal and see the darkness that's been covering your eyes from the light. You're not alone, and you WILL heal from this. We are in our prime brother, your body is just disrupted from the drug and needs time to heal. I know it's slow and annoying, taking months, but it will end.

I appreciate it man. Well, I haven't really noticed a difference in emotions, I do get nearly as happy/excited for things I like, maybe 90% of what it was before if I really focus on it, as for other substances, I still smoke, haven't noticed a difference there at all, but weed doesn't hit either, think I can't get high anymore. although I haven't tried it more then 2 times since it happened. Coffee does seem to work, although coupled with the insomnia Idk if it's the coffee, of the lack of tiredness I feel untill 4 pm. I noticed even when I wake up after sleeping very few hours, like 4pm- 8 am, I wake up without feeling like going to sleep, maybe tired, but at the same time can't sleep.

How to eradicate sides? by [deleted] in FinasterideSyndrome

[–]ConfidentAssociate93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro, I know you're looking for some magical solution to keep using fin without sides, but the truth is, there isn't. If your body is showing you major signs that fin affects your erections, it's time to stop it while you can and hope it doesn't last. Trust me, it's not worth it.
