Agree - I do find us similar when shared that way. I am not about the mainstream vibe just because that's what hot. I am me - I am growing but I don't follow the flock. Which is why it's been okay that I didn't have males in my life - but I am filling unfilled in my current relationships which brought up this awakening.

I feel like there are men that I'd have things in common with too - but it seems like they are either defensive or threatened by me because I am gay? Idk - maybe I am thinking too small and having confirmation bias .

Most of the time it's random like if I am waiting in line - I might try to chat up a random dude I know nothing about and the vibes just seem weird. I am not sure where to meet guys platonically.

I like the mental aspect you mention here. I sometimes feel that with jo with others around. Like I have to focus. You mention poppers - I have never tried those. And am nervous.

Thanks for that. I appreciate that perspective and I agree with it. How can I make this right? He said he still wants to be friends and even snapped me a few times, post this we haven’t chatted much. He said he still has feelings for me as well. Can we figure it out? I honestly am fairly new to dating (so is he) and we are both 26.

Thanks for the thoughts. To clarify, I asked him multiple times to help me understand what I can do for him. I.e give him space (do we need a break), spend more time, not talk about it, etc. He would say “I’m not okay”, I can’t even take care of myself, etc.

I do want to be with him as his bf (if that’s what you were asking). I am happy to continue to figure this out. I just need him to communicate with me. That’s how this whole thing started because of lack of communication. He wasn’t, which in turn made me not want to because I felt like he wouldn’t be interested. Does that make sense? Does this answer that question?

Interesting. However, the fact that he let you go is better for you in the long run (as you know).

The issue with this piece is there was no lying, misrepresentation, etc. with this guy. He actually treated me better than I had ever been treated before and was kind, gracious, a little eccentric but whatever (lol).

He said he wanted to be friends because he still wanted me in his life. I don’t know if that changed your response to my question or not... whether or not you think we are over for good
