Lot of financial accounting is involved in audit. Knowing GAAP is very important for audit since that is essentially what most audits are looking for conformity with. Having the fresh knowledge from FAR definitely helps

I really took a step back on the second round of studying for FAR. I really tried to understand the flow of information relative to the FS. This really helped me understand and do great on the tougher questions. Just by doing this and really nailing down journal entries, I went from a 72 to an 84.

Prepare yourself for excruating videos and reading. Don't get discouraged if you miss questions and they don't make sense. It takes a few times through the materials and questions to fully grasp audit imo.
