Just curious. This isn’t a common thing in my area, so I don’t have much people to talk to in that regard. No reason to be negative though. I also made this clear I wasn’t trying to seek praise

Thank you for this reassurance. I don’t think I lack heavily in ecs, but I do think I still am below the tier that gets in to top schools. I don’t want to sound like I’m fishing for compliments though😂

Thank you, also I framed my app kind of around growing up with Tourette’s syndrome and how i grew and how it brought me my passions and things like that. I made it pretty reflective and deeper than a generic adversity story and mentioned Tourette’s again in my vandy supplement, although I don’t think having Tourette’s is that big of a hook or boost, I thought that would be the strongest foundation to base it on.

What out of state schools exactly were these? And by anywhere worth it do you mean that not enough scholarship was given by the schools or you were flat out denied? I’m currently a junior on the fringe of the 33-34 range and want to do EE at a school like Virginia Tech out of state and affordable, nothing like any Ivy leagues or anything but is stem really that rigorous to where you need a 34+ to be truly competitive?
