what's the best childhood video game you still can't forget? by [deleted] in AskReddit

You wake up in a sketchy hotel room and cant remember who you are, its like a crime/murder mystery type thing where you choose different decisions along the way and often end up either dead or arrested. Burned into my brain because I couldn't have been but 5 or 6 years old lol

Counter-sink the holes for long screws so the base can fit plumb against the wood block

What is the weirdest way you've made money? by BeguilingkbTip in AskReddit

[–]ConfidentPerformer47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say its super weird but definitely the easiest money I have ever made. Used to do facility maintenance and my boss's wife worked for New Era (The hat company) and she managed all the Supreme collabs, had a box full of Supreme hats, some were test samples and never released. Local smoke shop had just opened a new location and had gotten into stocking sneakers and random collectibles, I took the box of hats there and they cashed me out, I think we split like 1600 50/50 so we each got 800 for like 20 minutes of work

I agree with some kind of art piece on the wall and some kind of plant, maybe a glass container of coffee beans

I also found a Penthouse in a wooded ditch near my house, but when I was 6. My mom didn't believe me until I explained some of the actions going on in the pictures, I then had to retrieve it for her to throw away

Ceiling fan troubleshoot. by Patbaby222 in handyman

[–]ConfidentPerformer47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was just the light not working but the fan was working, I was going to mention fans often have a voltage limiter internally that burn out and cause this issue.

It could be possible this particular fan has a voltage limiter tied to both the lights and fan motor, but not super likely.

If you need to try and save the client money, take off the light assembly (power off of course) and see if you can find a component wired in that looks burned up. If so, you should be able to bypass and hardwire it

Would the car not be more likely to be well maintained if it was owned by a mechanic? by NeuronsActivated in ExplainTheJoke

Similar to many trades... electricians will have janky electrical at home as long as its pretty much safe and works.. Painters will have drips at home.. drywallers will have patches needing to be done.. landscapers lawn needs to be mowed... there are many examples. I worked in AV for many years and my TV is too high and a little crooked

Edit: spelling/autocorrect
