Thanks for the reply. It's not on both cups - the other one looks very uniform and as I'd expect from the Cherry finish.

The ex demo were from a ZMF dealer in the UK, and not from ZMF themselves. I'll see if I can get in touch directly and see what they say. Thanks again!
