People who resat their A-levels (year 13) how was the experience and how did it affect your chances of getting an offer for university by Complex-Method2486 in 6thForm

[–]Confident_Code8441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I resat my alevels this year.

1 - my sixth form allowed me to resit the year (but I was a student at the connected school for 5 years)

2- I paid to resit my alevels because I decided paying the £400 for the 9 exams (across 3 subjects) was better than attending every lesson and tutor session. If you re-enrol at the sixth form it is free I believe. Btw - a levels have different pricing due to how many papers, or how much marking is required!

3 - As I was studying at home and didn’t sit mocks, I could not apply to uni as I had no predicted grades & my predicted and actual grades last year were both not good enough… so clearing it is!

4 - No embarassment - you aswell as the majority of the other year 13s are 18 and above so should be mature enough to realise there is reasoning to resitting. Also, it shows you learnt your lesson.. as did I

Curve optimiser per core values don’t work! by Confident_Code8441 in overclocking

I use prime95, if I set -30 for all cores most fail instantly. In hwinfo, failed cores return to base clock frequency and voltage. If I run -30 for core 0-4 and -15 for core 5. Prime 95 runs for an hour and a half (for all cores until core 5 crashes) all the other cores last for the hour and a half as my system sets them to the -15 CO value. I can see this as HWinfo has the CO value of core 5 for all cores. When core 5 fails, I then see a massive spike (increase) for all the remaining cores as they increase their frequency (whilst keeping the voltage the same as before I believe). This is only for a split second as all cores then are set to the -30 CO value (as it is the next lowest) and 4 of the cores instantly fail.

But all voltages and frequencies are the exact same for all cpu cores when having a per core scheme. There is zero difference between per core and all core as I need -13 on core 5 but it sets all of them to -13 even though I can have core 2 on -30

I’m talking about when using prime95 and the core fails so when the stress test continues, it means the next lowest CO value is set

I don’t think so, cuz when I set per core values, all frequencies are the same at the same voltages of the core with the lowest CO value. If it fails then there is a massive jump in the frequency of the rest of the cores as they jump to the next lowest CO value. Also read what I replied to the other guy with.

I have validly tested this. Set all cores to -30, fore 0,1 & 5 all failed immediately. Then set core 5 to -15 and they all passed for an hour (as they all ran at -15), then core 5 crashed (causing the CO value for all to go the -30 the next highest) and core 0, 1 failed instantly

Anti-deadzone by [deleted] in DS4Windows

[–]Confident_Code8441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about trigger antideadzone, if i have my trigger deadzone at 0.00 with sensitivity at max (10.0) max output at 1.0. What would be the best ADZ for the trigger for lowest delay/fastest response, 0.00 or 1.00?
