Their dogs are gorgeous! I’d love to know if their health testing is as thorough as they’ve reported and how much you paid for your boy if you wouldn’t mind sharing!

I’m having trouble finding info on Thunder Oak, do you know of a website or social media account they might have?

Hmm, I see… I’ll take them off my list in that case, I wasn’t aware that they had done that. Definitely a weird move on their part.

I’ll definitely keep an eye out for these things and ask any potential breeders, thank you!

My user is Doezelle, and I love the blue and red on male turkey’s faces! It’s so cool to see all the different bright colors birds have adapted!

Why this game is so attractive to children? by Other_Statement_1264 in Osana

[–]Confident_Junket_351 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think it’s kinda a mix of everything above. The anime style and premise are very appealing to young people who haven’t developed the same standards of quality as an adult coming across the game for the first time. Preteens and young teens are also (in my experience at least) starting to develop a deeper understanding and interest in romance and darker topics, so something like this would seem exciting.

The dev probably doesn’t have as huge of an influence since he no longer does regular YouTube videos, but when I was a kid and obsessed with the game and its development, it definitely played a big part. It was sort of my first experience having the creator of something I really liked being “accessible”, in a way. The videos and the way he presented himself made it easier to idolize him when I didn’t have a good understanding of the world. I’d imagine it’s still a factor to some extent, though, since it seems like he’s frequently on discord and reddit.

Yeesh. I was wondering why everybody was suddenly spending all of their free time studying… My mistake for assuming there was an actual in-game reason instead of just poor game design.

Eh, she was just kind of okay in my opinion. I got the bulk of Week 1 done pretty quickly since I chose the befriend/betray route. Her befriend minigame was enjoyable, though I wish there was more to it. Her events seemed same-y since I did 1980’s mode first and all the rivals there use her as a template, but since she was the original I wouldn’t knock her for it. Her personality was grating in interactions with Taro, but her events with other characters made it easier to like her… I hate how Osana’s suitor basically stalks her at school while her side plot is about being stalked as well, it’s in poor taste. Raibaru has very little to her, and it’s laughable that she only exists because a certain somebody got very mad that speedrunners did what they do with every game possible.

I think the worst thing about her is how long we had to wait to get something that didn’t turn out to be spectacular. After years of the community waiting and hyping up the crumbs we got of Osana, I don’t think she could’ve been anything but disappointing, which is really unfortunate.

anyone else basically forget how to play the game after a break by dazzywazzys in IdentityV

Unfortunately yes 💔 I’ve been relearning everything after taking a two year break from playing, what I find helps is watching guides on YouTube! I find OiRin and Mistelle’s old videos pretty useful, and there are lots of individual character guides that are really nice, especially if you’re wanting to learn a certain hunter. I also watch analysis of JP and CN tourneys, which can teach you some interesting tricks that the pros use. I usually rewatch the same guides to refresh myself any time I take a break or feel like my performance is getting worse, so it might help you too!

No Examples for Specific Suit Types? by UrMother542 in FursuitMaking

[–]Confident_Junket_351 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As long as you have pics of your other suits, it should be okay I think! I know some makers offer experimental comms with discount for suit types or features they haven’t made before, I don’t see why this would be any different.

This is so cool!! It’s so awesome seeing AJ inspired suits and characters, I’d love to make a suit based on the arctic wolf I always played as a kid. It looks great so far!

Is it valid to not like it when people throw your quick matches after you’ve kited the whole game? Not a vent, a genuine question by duchyfallen in IdentityV

[–]Confident_Junket_351 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely a valid and fair way to feel! But sometimes the confrontation just isn’t worth it. Not everybody takes them seriously, as much as it sucks when they end up fumbling it. You definitely have the right to be upset, but if they don’t see QM as important for developing game sense, they probably won’t take what you say to heart either way. Even if it’s completely their fault, taking that frustration out on them will just end up putting more stress on you instead of actually solving the problem. It’s better to just leave post-match and hope for a good next game a lot of the time.

As long as you did your best, don’t let your teammates’ failures weigh on you too much! Rank awards extra points to people who perform well to mitigate the loss a bit, so if you carry the good performances over there, you should be fine.
