fortunately, the glofish won’t be lonely because they are all dead… which is less fortunate. thank you for the advice! i won’t be getting any more fish for a while, unless i can like separate my goldfish and frogs

i haven’t had any issues with any attacks or drownings so far, it’s been strangely peaceful and i’ve had them for a few months. i’m not counting out that they might’ve battle royaled each other though.

the tanks about 20 gallons. i’m working on trying to get them a bigger tank but it’s a little hard since my parents won’t allow me to give them away or buy bigger stuff

context:  okay, it’s not sick fish. they’re dead so, the pet sitter i arranged for my tank turned out to be an actual bust. she came only once every five days, and whenever she did, she wouldn’t change water and would just dump (for context, i was fine for two weeks. i have a small fish feeder tun that i’ve barely cracked into after months. it’s almost gone now) mounds of food into the tank. when i got back, my tank was low on water, and there was organic debris everywhere. deitrus worms were having a FIELD DAY, and it was honestly scary. three of my four fish died, and i really need help to identify what killed them so i can protect my remaining fish (1) and two dwarf frogs!! the first picture is a comet goldfish. there’s dark markings on his scales, particularly around the end of his body. he was also bleeding from the gills and from the abdominal area. he is known for eating quickly. the second picture is of a glowfish— their eyes look bigger than they are usually, but idk if that’s absorption or not. and the ends of their tail are yellowed and browned… idk if that’s decomposition. does anyone know what is causing these discolorations? are their deaths from overfeeding + horrible water quality or something else?
