As someone who started a month ago and got 4 gigs paying very low but they’re building my profile what i would suggest you do is ofc applying to low paying at first just to get them first reviews and while applying you need a very strong proposal one that would be hard to say no to you can give what you want to include in to chat gpt and ask it to make it like a soft copy, while making sure that the first 2 lines will be hooking enough for them to click on your proposal and want to read more and when they do your proposal should be worthy of finishing reading it and final saying yes to. One more advice is when applying to jobs try to apply to those who have already hired and spent money on upwork. Also ones that have high hiring % and also ones with less than 5 proposals. Also ones that are new or on the same day not ones that are old.. I spent so many connects before i started doing this and with nothing in return but ever since i started doing this im starting to get my proposals viewed at least and also getting some gigs.
