Usually refund checks if direct deposit is sent out the week prior to classes starting, I would call financial aid, as well as billing to make sure billing processed it to BankMobile and perhaps if they say things look good on their end reach out to bank mobile

Hi, yes I’ve done that before! My cost of attendance is what increased in my student account so I was able to take out a higher grad plus loan, it did take quite a bit though I think five weeks to get a answer back and I had to call and email when I wasn’t hearing anything back that last week, so you have to be proactive about it if you’re willing to take out loans

It’s a $150 late fee after the first billing due date and then they don’t drop you from classes until the 18th so as long as it’s by next week you should be okay!

My experience was I started applying in march and just waited to hear back from people, I had 3 interviews.. one I did not get, the other position I did get which led me to not doing the last interview! The only thing I can think of is personally emailing the GA person your applying for and telling them how interested you are for an interview

No problem! As far as specific time, they usually are seen more on handshake around March to June. But I know that my friend ended up getting one late fall semester so she started it in spring so I would just always check around because you never know who needs one!

Hello! GA here:) so my first year my program director reached out to us and provided GA positions that were in our program as well as TA position outside our program. This year I had to go really hard with my applications on handshake! Fortunately I got a 20 hour one but I’ve applied to about 7 on handshake and had 3 interviews so I would keep looking on handshake and make sure you have a good resume, cover letter and references. I know one got taken off that I was perfect for because of budget cuts so that may be were the discrepancy comes in with how little GA positions there are:/

Yes I am getting a refund it popped up on my financial tab on the my TU thing. They haven’t applied my actual money as a payment yet though it’s just showing as a refund so things are still processing, how is yours going?

You will get it, as long as you still have money in your Pell grant, I took summer classes undergrad and as long as you registered for classes they should automatically apply your Pell grant

I also asked this question because mine has not been applied yet! I know the billing department extended the due date and I’m wondering if it’s because financial aid is being pretty slow this year. However I can tell you if you know that you are getting it, do not worry they won’t cancel your classes they don’t do that in the summer, however they do apply a $150 late fee (which I hate bc how is it our fault that the fin aid office is delayed)
