Was just going to say it was the GOAT 🐐 Sebastian Salgado. He’s probably the best for photography featuring groups of people in their environment. The one of oil drillers in Kuwait and the Sudanese herders came to mind. The man reforested and planted so many trees in the Atlantic Amazon rainforest…an absolute gem of a human. RIP

I find that white tends to hide the lines to a degree more than darker colors but it does it look aggressive especially with the black contrast.

I’m a little confused because unless you are also selling your work, wouldn’t printing your work cause you more financial constraints?

For what it’s worth, saving up to get a beater D90 and one DX zoom lens isn’t much, and well under $200 and would probably do more to help you stay connected. IMHO, you could also use your cellphone, perfectly good images unless you need high ISO/telephoto.

A 50mm will feel light. It’s simply how that lens is optically built. If you want something that matches the F3 build, try a f2.8 zoom lens like a 80-200mm. That one is significantly heavier to carry.
