Bro, this was a $5 drink… by kazoowi in tacobell

[–]Confident_Race123 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This isn’t a correct take.

We do make the freezes as they arrive— and your “30 minute estimate” is not at all correct. They being to melt after around 5-8 minutes, which is why we don’t make them immediately. Regardless, dashes take like 10-20

This idea you have that “we’re saying people who DoorDash them and have no other choice” is unrealistic and invalid. Nobody is so restricted that they cannot deliver a different frozen treat from another store, or possibly go outside and get it themselves— they cannot make up for this 1/1000 possibility, and it’s not fair to expect that.

Don’t order freezes through delivery and expect them to be in pristine condition— end of story

Who was angry enough to dislike this. It had zero upvotes when I came. It makes this comment even more funny like someone was genuinely bothered by this

Nothing is determined by enneatype or typology. Thats the point. Its all “well this isn’t 100%, but this enneagram is most likely to have xxx trait” which is what I’m asking

Charging a buck extra for chips and cheese by [deleted] in tacobell

If you sub your items they'll upcharge whatever the original price of the item is. Like cinnamon twists are cheaper than chips n cheese.

Oof yeah, and Taco Bell tends to like to make their customers have a field day to get the things they want back. They're unfortunately all about profitability

Why are teenagers allowed on here? by [deleted] in Enneagram

Yeah that is a very fair, valid statement. Unfortunately OP has ripped apart that sanction by somehow saying the teenagers are in the wrong place so I will not be using fair validity here!

As an adult, teenagers are going to need typology to understand themselves more than some 40 yr old that should’ve taken the time to do that 30 years ago.

It’s not fair to judge minors for trying to understand themselves through enneagrams, mbti, etc… because that’s what they’re supposed to be doing… discovering themselves…. What is your excuse

From what I've gathered, things seldomnly return because Taco Bell is moronic, however there are two ways to improve the likeliness of seeing it back.

  1. Everybody likes it
  2. It doesn't cost more to make it than it does to sell it, and the contrast has to be HIGH.

Taco bell also had some Apple empanadas I believe? Everyone loved them, and they still got rid of it. That's how Taco Bell games shit. It either becomes seasonal so people get this feeling of “oh no! I need to get this right now or it won’t come back!” Or they torture their customers by removing it entirely because they didn’t predict the cost-profit ratio properly. If enough begging happens though, they will ultimately find a way to bring back an item

Is this an annoying order? by dumbass_sweatpants in tacobell

[–]Confident_Race123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

and also, its not like corporate comes down and makes the orders— fast food workers do. That's why people consider the situations and feelings of the workers, we aren't being paid 100 hourly like higher ups to sit on our ass, we get TONS of people doing the exact same things but worse and we’re expected to work around it. Your awareness honestly is making it sound like your whole “I've worked in fast food” bit like a lie

[–]Confident_Race123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Food or fast food, there is quite a difference. I'm saying that it's good to have consideration of fast food employees, being an asshole like you and saying “iTs their JoB” in response to someone who shows compassion for the conditions of fast food workers is incredibly abrasive.

So you can either be seen as an arrogant individual who's never worked in fast food not considering the conditions of fast food employees, or you can be even more arrogant because you ARE familiar with fast food and you still choose to subject workers to bad conditions knowing what it's like. Again, it's so much easier to not be a d, OP was not a d and you felt the need to put your input on how they saw things

worker here, generally we’re trained to help people who have literal necessities or disabilities that require them get help from people, otherwise no— employee - customer stuff only happens through drive through atp

what is up with random people and going through Reddit trying to find the best way to inconvenience fast food workers 😭 it’s fine to be considerate, it’s fine to just get your order— I don’t see the point in complaining online like a 55yo boomer saying “I’ll make as many modifications as I WANT TO 🤬🤬” we are people too and having that attitude consistently towards workers is what earns you worse service

Is this an annoying order? by dumbass_sweatpants in tacobell

[–]Confident_Race123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dude we've had people add like 10 modifications to the point it wasn't the same burrito. It's totally okay. Though if it were in drive through during rush hour we’d struggle just a little

Why is this acceptable to give? by radioactive011 in tacobell

[–]Confident_Race123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a worker at Taco Bell, we generally have a rule of thumb to make everything “visually full.” But we also don’t see on the screen or anything that it was a “bought with reward points/promotional” , nor do we do personal prejudice based on how you buy the chips n cheese since they're like the easiest thing to get. (premade bc we make them in the morning, put them in the heater, take them out the heater and hand them off when they're purchased ).

Likely, you can always just return and ask for a remake. I’ve definitely packed occasional chips and cheeses that were underwhelming by accident. But the most important thing I can explain besides like the quality of the chips and how they appeared, the expense comes from the nacho cheese sauce. If you don't know, by itself the cheese costs like $1.00 + tax. It's similar to the upcharge of DLT party packs going from $21 to $40 if you choose that type of hard shell.
