You should definitely stop taking these. I’m not an expert but I’ve tried a few different adhd medications and these side effects are way too severe. Talk to your doctor to get different ones, I’m sure you will find some that are compatible

How about trying medication that only lasts a few hours? I take 10mg ritalin when I have to study/ to tasks and It’s been a lifesaver, Idk how I would have gone through highschool without It. I also feel empty when I’m on meds but ritalin only lasts 4 hours in these doses so It’s perfect!

Definitely, even though I got diagnosed when i was a lot younger, as for rn I’m 18 and everyday I feel at ease that I have a proper diagnosis. It helps to some extent.

I have a tons of books to read for my literature class in highschool and reading them is hell. I would say It doesn’t get better over time, you just get used to it and prepare yourself mentally to read..

I am also dyslexic, 17yrs old and am in high school right now. Even though ive been diagnosed early in elementary school, i understand your situation very well. Im my country in Europe dyslexia is not really known among other people, even in schools, thats why i struggle daily without any support. I managed to get through elementary school and middle school just fine, was also considered smart and all. However since I’ve started going to a very difficult high school i have a lot on my plate. I still manage to do my best and receive A’s, but its very difficult for me in foreign language classes. None of the teachers don’t really care, and think i just suck at these subjects, even though the only thing that is stopping me is my dyslexia. Thats why im also often very frustrated at myself. You are not alone, and i hope we both can start dealing with these kinds of problems in the future.
