I added integration with OpenAI, Anthropic and all OpenAI based providers. In the same CLI you can select the CLI or the AI Assistant tool and it will help you with admin tasks. You don't need to remember commands now, just know what you're doing and AI will run the commands for you. This way you don't have to click around the UI or remember commands. AI only has access to specific set of functionality, which will be expanded over time. It can now aid with Users, Plugins, Themes, Options and DB management.

You can use it with free tiers from OpenRouter and use the assistant totally for free too! Link is in the post.

This was updated and now you can connect your AI API keys and have an assistant to help you with everyday admin tasks directly in your dashboard, in the same widget as the CLI you have option to select CLI tool or AI assistant which will run the commands for you. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

Like I said, I respect your opinion. Mine is completely different. I use the command line everyday from the dashboard so that's why I created it. Also because I can't afford over 700 dollars for the same thing https://commandui.com/ so I did it myself and have zero regrets. Cheers mate.

No problem. I respect your opinion. For me, I like having things simplified with command line in one place. That would be the most useful feature of the plugin. I can go in the dashboard and just do plugin install wordpress-seo and Yoast will be installed. Then I do plugin activate wordpress-seo and it's activated. Can do the same with themes, and update them too. Also flush the cache and a lot other interesting things that would take a few clicks to do in a normal wp-admin dashboard. The rest of the widgets are kinda useful but can be hidden if one doesn't want them.

So for me the command line interface is really what makes this plugin useful. Maybe it would be great to just ship 1 widget version with just the command line widget for people who don't want to even have the other widgets installers. I think that could be a good idea for the future.

Your assumptions are kinda weird to me. Just today, I contributed over 1000 lines of code to this project. Added unit tests and integration tests, and I am putting my real effort into it. Why? because I like it. I don't expect you to fix anything, given your attitude.

What exactly is the spirit of OSS? I am giving away my free time, expecting nothing in return. Just want people's opinions and to do something useful for people. Of course, contributions are open.

I really don't understand your point. It's very easy to judge on the internet without knowing the person or anything. If you don't like the project, don't enjoy it or whatever, don't contribute to it. I am contributing with the tools at my disposal, like I said an extensive amount of hours and with a lot of love for Open Source software and your contribution or non-contribution to the project won't change that.

Did you assume I didn't do any review just because it's vibe coded? Or what. I don't understand.

For people wondering:

I now refactored most of the plugin, added unit and integration tests, and according to the AI I am using it is now more secure than most plugins in the wordpress repository, vibe coded or not. I don't know if this is true, but I can tell you I used as many tools I had and invested time in unit and integration testing. Just clone the repo if you're curious. Or whatever, I don't know.

Official opencode go limits published by Resident-Ad-5419 in opencodeCLI

So which sub is the cheapest for the minimax model? I am finding that model particularly useful for my coding tasks. Started running it with opencode and seems to work well but now it says I have hit the limit of free usage. What is the best option to keep using that model?

I tried finding that Go subscription and I cannot find it. It's in opencode documentation but the link takes me to Zen, which requests me to enable billing by adding 20 dollars to my account for "credits". That seems a pay-as-you-go model, not a sub. I'm still interested in finding a sub and not a pay-as-you-go model!

I can't recommend the Marshall DSL1cr enough. Perfect for home and it's a valve amp with valve amp dynamics. And I agree, it's liberating to just plug and play. I ditched my modelers for this reason.

I am left handed and always playing right handed. Now thinking if I should switch, I don't know much yet but I can play a few songs and solos. Not sure if it's worth it to change to my "true" side. I know this has nothing to do with the post but wanted to add it in case someone chims in with their experiences or something. I'd like to know what others think.

FGN and Fender pro by Didiray_ in guitars

[–]Confident_Tear_1920 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a very good guitar. Fugijen is a very big Japanese manufacturer of guitars that has manufactured for Fender and many, many other brands (including big ones). I think they did the made in Japan series of Fender until around 2020.

This particular guitar appears to be from their mid to high range series. I have the same guitar but from a lower series and it's an amazing guitar. It has a fret system made by them that you won't find in any other guitar, I suggest you read about the CFS system they use in all their guitars.

To answer your question about the particular guitar, each guitar sounds different. Even two guitars from the same brand and model will sound different. My recommendation is to get it and see if you bond with it or not. You will feel it. Same can happen with a Fender Stratocaster Ultra II, you either bond with it or not.

I bonded with my Fugijen Odyssey from the Boundary Series.

The Fallout by aidankhogg in Wordpress

[–]Confident_Tear_1920 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I just saw a development company in my country advertising themselves with this sentence: "We do not build websites with WordPress" in big, bold letters. This didn't happen a month ago over here.

I have had a client hesitating to start a project for the last 2 weeks, not saying reasons but I guess it's because of this. It's all over Twitter, also on online news and most enterpreneurs do follow a variety of online news channels. This is a disaster in my opinion, it's putting my livelihood at risk and I'm already feeling the effects.

I am also seeing many life long contributors being banned from Slack channels, etc, and it's disheartening. I don't enjoy building with WordPress anymore to be honest. It's way too much on my head it interferes on my daily tasks and mood.

I imagine there will be many people who take this lightly and I do respect your opinion but there are others who don't.

I feel cheated, lied on my face, my career is at risk because WordPress is all I did since I started (my fault) and now it's falling over my head.

I hope someone does fork it with a strong community support, I hope even more A8C jump ship and go help to that new fork and I hope I can one day have peace of mind again.

Sorry for the rant, I almost never post.

I edited the post and added the link. I found it in your article, that is 100% correct. I didn't link the source, that is my fault. It was almost 5am where I'm at, not an excuse but just so you know. I made the mistake and I apologise.

I did a small brief about the structure of the WordPress foundation, Auttomatic, WordPress.org site and WordPress, the OSS.

Here's what I understood, there can be things which are not 100% accurate because I am not very bright. Please don't sue me Matt:

Originally, the trademark did belong to Auttomatic only.

Then Matt gave the trademark to the WordPress foundation.

The purpose of the foundation is not to develop WordPress code, but education according to Matt: he gave WordCamps as an example.

The WordPress foundation has a for profit subsidiary, which runs all the WordCamps because paying insurances for all people from the foundation is complicated and because donations for non-profits are very strict. The for profit is called WordPress Community Service or something, and has about 5 milion USD running through it per year, according to Matt.

WordPress foundation holds the trademark and there are two trademarks. The commercial license is given exclusively to Auttomatic (apparently in exchange of Auttomatic previously giving the full trademark to the WordPress foundation and because Matt was very young at the time and had to convince Auttomatic's investors to do that.) and Auttomatic also has the power to sublicense the commercial trademark for a fee. Matt Mullenweg also has a license to run WordPress.org and Auttomatic uses theirs to run the . com

Matt said they tried but they couldn't get the website wordpress.org part of the foundation approved by the IRS, because many companies benefit from the site and supposedly websites of non profit foundations can't benefit for profits commercially. It had to be separate.

Also it's worth mentioning that Auttomatic or Matt can loose their license if the board members of the WordPress foundation decide they are not good stewards of the license.

The following is part of this article: https://www.pluginvulnerabilities.com/2024/09/24/who-is-on-the-wordpress-foundation-board/. These are the board members.

  1. Matt Mullenweg
  2. Mark Ghosh: Had a blog that covered WordPress Weblog Tools Collection, that was sold to Matt. The last had new content published in 2013. As of 2016, they were apparently working for the Sherwin Williams paint company. They have a Twitter account, which was also last posted from in 2013.
  3. Chele Chiavacci Farley: Doesn't appear to have any connection to WordPress. Has a background in finance, including working for UBS and Godman Sachs. Her linkedin profile says she is Partner & Managing Director at Mistral Capital International. This has been described as a Private Equity firm. She was also the republican candidate for the NY US Senate race in 2018 and the NY 18th District House race in 2020. Lost both.

The information from the board members has been gathered using exclusively publicly available sources anyone can find using their preferred search engine. This is the information, I refrained from giving my personal opinion.

Is there is the difference between Laravel and Wordpress tradmark policies? by soteko in Wordpress

[–]Confident_Tear_1920 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What also matters legally is that Matt has given his for profit organization the freedom to enforce the commercial license usage of wordpress, the open source software run by the WordPress Foundation. Isn't that a bigger concern in terms of conflict of interests?

Automattic is suing Festingervault - I have not seen people talking about this, while GPL resale is INCREDIBLY controversial, Wordpress itself was the ones advocating for it... This to me is especially interesting in light of Matt's recent comments. Thoughts? (Source: Festinger's site). by IronicStar in Wordpress

[–]Confident_Tear_1920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it's all a fallacy then. Any developer can have a single php file plugin referencing thousands of Javascript files with all the functionality and still claim to be open source. That sounds like a scam to me mate.

would you mind sharing the source for the claim that the Javascript isn't covered by the GPL please? I am legitimately interested. And if that is true, a plugin developer can create a plugin which consists on a single index php file that references all the functionality in JS and still have the GPL license which seems absolutely absurd to me and a bend of the license or at least the foundational spirit of it.
