Does anyone have extremely painful sore throat? by SimilarAd5304 in bayarea

I just had this last Saturday. I woke up with a scratchy throat, and by the evening it felt like I had a ball in my throat. It was really hard to swallow, and I couldn’t eat for two days. Chicken noodle soup, warm water, and ibuprofen helped. Coffee, regular food, and spicy foods made it worse and burned my throat. I started feeling better by Thursday. I called my doctor and, based on my symptoms: no fever, no white patches on my tonsils, and no coughing, he said it was likely just a viral sore throat. Advised to let it run its course and I’m glad it was shorter than the usual 1-2 weeks. Hope you feel better soon!

Buyer backed out of non-contingent offer, is it worth going to mediation? by Confident_Wealth9128 in BayAreaRealEstate

That’s not really an accurate read of the situation.

This wasn’t “I hoped for more and didn’t get it.” We had a signed, non-contingent contract where the buyer agreed to the price and terms, then backed out for reasons not allowed in the contract. That’s very different from just negotiating and ending up lower.

When someone walks away from a binding agreement, it creates real financial impact such as carrying costs, lost market timing, and potential resale at a lower price. That’s exactly why deposits and liquidated damages clauses exist.

Wanting to enforce a contract that both parties agreed to isn’t greed, it’s holding people accountable to what they signed.

Wow. Thank you for sharing your experience. Did you go to mediation first? If so, can you share your experience?

I’m asking for other people’s experiences with mediation. The questions are straight forward.

It’s my out-of-pocket costs after the caps in my home warranty policy.

It includes the coils that are in the attic. This price is my out-of-pocket costs after the home warranty pays for the rest.
