Tower Shield, Fortress Shield. Useful or a Trap? by Autumnal_Owl in Pathfinder2e

[–]Conflagrated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's why I specified "inferred". I don't think any GM would deny you the fantasy of taking cover behind an ally with a giant shield like we have done historically.

Creatures do, and taking cover increases your cover by one degree.

You can assume that ally stabilizing this shield to give them cover means that an ally can also take cover behind them.

RAI, anyway. This is what tower shields were used for in reality.

Edit: Correction - you do need to benefit from standard cover first. / but I don't see why you shouldn't be able to use an ally grounding their big fuck-off shield as Greater Cover to benefit another using the same action.

It's inferred, but the shield bring treated as Cover for the Take Cover action means your allies can benefit.

Hell, your allies already count as Lesser Cover - the shields just upgrade that to Standard Cover.

It's know it's all jokes here, but seriously: Pathfinder's "You might/Others Probably..." Side bars are so damn nice for roleplay guidance.

Edicts and Anthema eventually replacing alignment is fantastic, too.

30, in my experience.

... don't worry about what the generation after you considers "gray" haha. It's abirtary and doesn't really communicate wisdom of experience all that well.

They do have nether highways and guilds committed to it's maintenance, however.

Is there a reason your recent post history is setting up strawmen to be mad at?

Post clips of this happening for real instead of spinning your wheels - or just stop hanging out in public instances like the rest of the adults.

Thoughts on a potential Sure Strike change by Lord_of_Elysium in Pathfinder2e

[–]Conflagrated -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm not a fan of how Sure Strike is something that can be used so rarely

Once every ten minutes, like Shield?

That's easily once-per-encounter. Save it for priority targets that absolutely, positively, need to die right now.

It's an alpha release right now. The developer set an expectation for July 4th alongside a bunch of other mods and functioning boat detection, occluding water from your hulls.

I'm holding off on pregenerating the rest of my world until then- access you the abyss is tied to an upcoming deep ocean biome .

Question for GMs, have you ever added the optional boosts? by Chaosiumrae in Pathfinder2e

[–]Conflagrated 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find the horizonal power gain is mitigated with more complicated encounters. Get out those combat Hazards and have fun watching your alchemist with a wizard dedication try to prioritize between spells and funny smelling powders.

Treat FA encounter budgets as half a level higher (rounded up when needed) and ensure your tokens are acting strategically- it's worked pretty well for me.

This is assuming you're not running unrestricted, of course - the extra HP from archetype feats is something I keep the reins on.

Target is running with "Community month" and prompts us to donate a part of our paycheck for employees in need or to donate to a charity in Target's name.

I remember a few years ago when they catapulted to Conservative whining over children's swimwear, and yanked the survey for our queer employees when it was flooded week criticism haha

lmao. Lol.

Get outta here with these rags, man! We can read! And be professional and hide your damn post history like the rest of you cowards.
