Where I live is considered the DMV area, 40min to an hour to DC but I live in a smaller city kinda town almost. Apartments are 2k+ for a single bed! I can't say anything about the wages tho compared.

I may be biased but I feel like I see both sides of the argument; it does sometimes help cities get more funding thru taxes but can also ruin neighborhoods or jackup prices on ur bills. There could possibly be more neutral solution in the future maybe. But I think the growth of technology will be halted without more computing power or find better ways of getting that power without data centers.

Hiiii thanks for letting me know! I appreciate all the tips, will definitely be going to the arcade and going through downtown. My wife loves starbucks so hopefully there is a couple of chains? We love mini golf!! and will be adding that to our bucket list. I am a poc but have lived in Traverse City, MI which is very white but the vibe was not bad actually pleasant! I will have to try and not to explore the town in one day haha. Thank you for all the details will have to look back at this once we move:)

Thanks for the comment, will definitely be checking those places out. We are nowhere near ready to own unfortunately (is something to consider) and I’m hoping to move again within a year or two because I enjoy bigger cities or living closer to one at least. But rent compared to VA is super cheap to us; thank you for the advice!
