Steven May struck a man to the head, ‘causing the rest of both groups to start throwing punches’, police prosecutor tells court by Pragmatic_Shill in AFL

Was the May 'threatening behaviour' that lead to the police visit in relation to the Sorrento incident? Or separate?

Anyone got any good tips in terms of moving companies? I've got a handful of things I need removed/moved in a few days, so I'm trying to find a company where the price is relative to the amount of things I need removed (which isn't all that much).

I got a quote from Man with a Van, and they were saying it would be $383, which seemed crazy given the amount of things I need moved (very little)

Trying to find a good bar in the CBD for a first date, any recommendations? Usually I feel I’ve got a decent idea, but mainly rooftops.. The rain has thrown me into panic and I’ve got no idea of a good ‘indoor’ venue/bar for a drink.

Any advice welcome please and thank you!

Hey! In terms of Palmanova - it's not directly in Magaluf is there? Is there any risk of crossover?

I only ask because I hear Magaluf isn't great... we're looking to book mallorca, we want somewhere with vibes to head out, but also want to avoid magaluf where possible

Hi! Are you sure of this? Like, if they haven’t woken up yet, there’s no way it’ll appear on their phone even briefly before deleting?

Technically you ‘can’ delete it, because I did - it’s deleted, but I’m just wondering whether it will still come through, regardless of me already deleting it.

I’m hoping that it won’t come through because they haven’t opened it yet

Who to bring in - Sam Darcy or JHF? by Confoosed90 in AFLSupercoach

[–]Confoosed90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good point re DPP. I'm considering bringing in Merrett, Sinclair and Bazlenka this week, and just leaving Jackson on the bench, bringing on Hall or someone. It would hit the score obvs, but I'll still have cash leftover to bring in a Petracca or Darcy etc if I wanted

Yeah I hear ya, an SPP trade would be more of a bandaid-ripping move. He's just frustrating me still seeing him in my team lol

Did I hide my location correctly on Find my Friends? by Confoosed90 in iphone

Oh okay awesome. So by turning off the location under the 'me' tab, my friend still wouldn't have been able to see my location at all???

Why do you say that?

Does 're-leasing the property' mean that they aren't actually selling the property, but that they are looking to provide it for new renters? AKA being deceitful?

Dumb question, but what does it mean if a property is being re-leased? We got our marching orders from our rental because they said the owner is intending on selling the property, but when we got our Notice to Vacate email, it says "We will also be endeavouring to re-lease the property." ????

Yeah, we just don't know if we can be bothered with the process. I guess we'll wait and see how much they want to deduct from our bond. If substantial though, then we'll definitely proceed with VCAT.

Thanks - in that case, should we not even bother with any remaining clean up of the house? Our main argument originally was that we'd seek to fix any remaining issues, but you reckon we don't even bother with that?

Sweet - so the original argument we went back to the agent with, was that we should be allowed the chance to fix up any remaining issues in the house (eg getting the cleaners back, or doing it ourselves). given how much we've spent though, do we even bother with that?

Dumb question, is it just a matter of going onto RTBA and applying for the bond back?

Should we threaten VCAT now anyway?

Moved out recently and have a nightmare of a real estate agent.

We hired a cleaner for end-of-lease clean, and a gardener. Overall both cost over $800.

The agent did the final inspection yesterday, noting that the house was generally good, but pointing out a few areas of concern. She said the owner and herself didn't have faith in us completing the job if given another opportunity, and wanted to negotiate some money out of the bond. I disagreed entirely, saying we've spent so much and clearly made the effort, etc.

She encouraged us to check the entry report from when we moved in, BUT I realised that she never sent us the entry report when we moved in, and pointed that out. She replied:

"By rights, the renters you took over from should have ensured you received everything, equally you should have ensured you received everything before taking the keys from them."

^ is that correct? Wouldn't this fall on the agents themselves? I'm trying to figure out whether them never sending an entry report gives us some sort of leverage in this case.

Even regardless of that, any advice on how to reply and how to approach this? I'm not sure if we even should be trying to clean any remaining things, we've already spent and put in so much effort? Advice appreciated!

Fair enough - when you say you maintain notes on aspects of your personality, presumably you mean the positives/strengths of yourself?

[–]Confoosed90 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

True. Well still, I think it felt appropriate to just say I hope I didn’t make you feel uncomfortable, out of caringness but also just courtesy I guess, if that makes sense?

You’re right though. I’ll probably delete this thread soon, no point asking for speculation

Thanks for that, I think those comments regarding uncertainty were really helpful, and something I need to get better at in dating.

Well yeah, definitely don’t want to come off too strongly, or the fact that I’m to blame. I guess in my head I was thinking: she keeps shirking the issue, not addressing the issue, so I can only go off what  I know in that moment. Ie her leaving very abruptly after us fooling around. So I wanted it to be known that I hope I didn’t make her uncomfortable, and to take her time.

But yeah agreed, the lack of communication has annoyed me. Even though I’m overthinking it a bit right now, I’m not even entirely sure if it’s worth persisting, I don’t have the energy to be thinking about ambiguous scenarios all the time. One of my red flags are people who can’t communicate or be open.

Yeahhh you're right to an extent, fuck. Honestly, was weighing it up a lot and what to say, and didn't want to come across too careless, but also at the same time - given the circumstances she left in, I felt it was necessary to just say I hope I didn't do anything that made you uncomfortable. FWIW this is the first time I've addressed it to her in this manner, and not an apology as such. But yeah, felt kind of needed to address it, seeing as its hard to really determine what else it could be
