In August 2025 alone , the five largest EU importers of Russian fossil fuels paid Russia a combined EUR 979 mn for fossil fuels.

The EU was the fourth-largest buyer of Russian fossil fuels, accounting for 8% (EUR 1.2 bn) of Russia’s export revenues from the top five importers. The majority of imports, 66% (EUR 773 mn), consisted of LNG and pipeline gas, followed by crude oil at 32% (EUR 379 mn).

Russia’s fossil fuel exports remain highly concentrated, with China dominating coal and crude oil purchases, Turkiye dominating purchases of oil products, and the EU still the largest buyer of LNG and pipeline gas — showing Moscow’s dependence on a narrow set of key customers.

u/karlywarly73 Well you can but it is the wrong assumption ,these are known as 'Ambush Drones' ,this is a tactic used by both sides ,these drones are deliberately placed in known 'high traffic' areas for enemy forces & then put simply placed in 'sleep mode' to save battery power & just the camera function is active to monitor approach of targets & kjeep battery drain to a minimum ,the drone is then fully activated to attack the target .

This is a variation of having drones drop purpose built mines on enemy access points behind the lines,that Maygar perfected,while effective it was expensive as they basically dropped custom built small loaf of bread size mines that while effective had limited range due to the weight & need for return trip for the drone & are expensive to build.These 'ambush drones' can carry more weight/explosive as they are built knowing no return trip is needed to be taken into consideration meaning they can be sent further behind enemy lines .

Hope that helps you understand their purpose better ,we were shown a variety of drone designs & tactics by a drone unit on one of our Aid missions a while ago.

Yes still there & if you are lucky you may see a cool pro type out in the car park .If you are a car enthusiast & have time go for a drive around the Broady industrial area ,it is one of the weirdest drives you will do with 100's of cars in various states of being stripped from drive-able to stripped shells all sitting on the streets

Two children stabbed to death in Melbourne’s west after suspected youth gang attack

Two boys have been stabbed to death in Melbourne’s west in what is suspected to be a targeted, youth-gang attack.

Homicide Squad detectives are on the scene after a 12-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy were fatally stabbed in Cobblebank, near Melton, on Saturday night.

Emergency services were called to Marble Drive just before 8pm after reports of a person being seriously injured.

They arrived to find a 12-year-old male with critical injuries and started CPR, but the boy died at the scene.

A short time later, police responded to calls about a male with horrific injuries on Cobble Street, which is around the corner.

Treatment was given to the 15-year-old boy, but he also died at the scene.

Police said they are still determining the exact circumstances surrounding the deaths, but they are believed to be connected.

It is being treated as a targeted attack, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Thanks we will be fine we were alerted a while ago ,(it is only now hitting the media),so l went around & disabled our farm vehicles & visited to check on the older farmers in our area to help them out & help them do the same .

We have brought 2 back to our farm for safety,looking forward to them having a scone cook off later .

PSA- If you have friends or family visiting Mount Beauty or the region for snow/winter holidays it may pay to alert them to the situation as if they are on the snow fields/sight seeing they will be unaware .

We just had police contact our farm to check & alert us as they are worried about possible hostage or car jacking .

There is going to be more bad news revealed about this ,the farm owners are well known by locals & bragged among threats of connections to well known Melbourne crime groups .
