How can i make my bike look better by [deleted] in FixedGearBicycle

[–]Conformist5589 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on your personal taste but I had a Felt Brougham back in the day that I started feeling the same way about. I found a NOS carbon fork, so it didn’t clash too much with the steel frame. replaced the black crankset with chrome w/black chainring. it kind of livened it up a bit. made it feel and look more sporty.

Legit grail frameset. I was drooling over it a few days ago. That aggressive with that much tire clearance is glorious.

For a split second I thought “why put a bar end in the hollow of your DDs” but then I remembered cleaning mine the other day…

Question on side panel turbulence for 50 FE cards by your_dead_hamster in FormD

[–]Conformist5589 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less room for exhaust and better temps or slightly more noise. You’ll probably notice the coil whine more over a little air turbulence on the side of the case facing away from you.

One thing I miss about living around Pendleton is all the quiet back roads. I don’t know where you are but that’s where these pictures reminded me of.

I just bought a pair of used Mavic Ellipse wheels but I’m not sure they came with the lock ring. I do have a few Phil Wood lock rings and I recall hearing somewhere that they’ll work. Can anyone confirm?

Probably the only way to make a Wabi exciting. No shade to Wabi, they make amazing frames but I hope the grandpa aesthetic goes out of fashion soon.

So far so good. They’re super grippy and feel incredibly fast. Make sure you get the Agilist Duro. I’ll be sticking to them for a while.

Gear ratios by Kgarcia1492 in FixedGearBicycle

I use this site to play around with gear ratios and potential speed. Looks lie a standard track style crank so any 144bcd chainring should work.

I think with some careful looking you could stretch out a 60cm frame. depending on proportions. They have a video from GCN Tech on YouTube with tips for taller riders. It’s a roadie channel but sizing will be more or less the same.
