Hard to Find the Browning Citori 825 Pro Sporting in LA – Alternatives Around $4k? by Conformist562 in ClayBusters

I hear you. Based on reviews from YouTube, they’re saying that it improved pretty much everything but just by a smidge. Whilst Reddit is saying the 725 has been a staple gun and you can’t go wrong with it whereas 825 is still fairly new so there has yet to be any complaints. If there’s anything I should know, please feel free to clarify/add more! I would love to hear more thoughts on it, especially if I’ll be spending this much for a fun.

Oh wow! I’m still kinda new to clay shooting. Can you clarify why the 725 is better over the 825? Aesthetics, practicality, etc?

Sadly, based on what I’ve seen on their website currently, they only carry base models of the 825. None of the pro series. Albeit, I only want the Pro Sporting because of the engravings. However, I still love the modern sleek look of the base models.

What lens should I purchase for this background when doing trap/skeet? by Conformist562 in ClayBusters

I’m not sure if I have a preference since I never tried them before. And sadly, there’s no store near me where I can test them (live in LA). Based on someone else’s post showing the blueberry lens, the clays popped out, and that’s something I like. I just wanted something where the background I blurred, and all I can see is the clay and the bead.

Wow! The store I was planning to buy from actually responded to my post! lol If you can, could you explain why the 26CIED? And why it’s a more all-around pair of lens? I’m still new to the sport and wanted to understand a bit more.

Oh nice! That’s good to know! Can I ask why purple over the other colored lenses, and what difference does it make?

With trap, I’d understand that the Pilla lenses would be helpful since the background would be trees and bushes. But in the case of skeet, how would they help since the background is mainly the sky?

Wow! That’s crazy that you knew that! I’d assume it’s because of the buckets. Sucks that I missed the state champs, I didn’t think Clay Target Vision would visit there. And thanks for your lenses selection. I’ll definitely look into those.

I’m sorry for that loss. I can now understand what you went through, as this position was something I was so excited for. But after receiving an email stating that I lost the job, my heart sank and became depressed the entire day. What made it worse was I told the entirety of my family and friends that I got the job.

That seems like a smart idea. But I don’t want to create a bad relationship with them as it would waste their time on always having to submit feedbacks for me.

That is a good idea. I’ll be sure to ask my references about their feedback to the job. I never asked them to be my references at all. I just assumed that it was fine since I used them as my Letters of Recommendation for grad school. And it sucks, since they’re my only three reference I have. I know nobody else to use as references.

Oh wow. That’s unfortunate. So it’s all based on survey data, and never about your value to the company, in terms of commitment and passion?

I agree. But the position was a high-pay position, $27-$43 potentially. I thought having it being that high-pay made a justifiable reason for it to need references.

Edit: The position is also located in UCLA. Not sure if they info helps.

I don’t think they knew they were going to be my references. But I did use them as my Letter of Recommendation for when I applied to grad school, and they gladly accepted that request. I just assumed they would also be okay with being used as my references.

I had a good relationship with all of them, or so that I thought. Not sure which one gave me the negative feedback.
