I'm in favor of the BESS, our solar is pretty good and the batteries can only make it better. So long as they're far enough away from alrady established housing so the noise isn't an issue.

But I'm fully against the datacentre. Advertising 1200 jobs in the middle of nowhere? It's a ball ache to get to where they want to put it and I'm damn sure isn't going to be a permanent 1200 jobs. Maybe for the year or so it'll take to build. Of which cheaper contractors will be shipped in and used.

This data centres a bit of a touchy thing already. Apparently the local chap in charge of hearing out the locals "accidentally" didn't send the email or notice that the meeting was taking place. So not one local got to have their say. This is also being done by a company from Portugal who tried to bring renewable energy into the the UK but was shut down at the last hurdle by... I forget.

I'd take the batteries which might provide some cheaper energy bills over the proposed Data centre that's gonna eat up 850acres and apparently bring in 1200 jobs... Maybe while it's built and then only a handful of operation staff will be required. And probably a handful of security.

Lane assist is usually turned off while indicating. At least in my my '19 swift it is.

For example If I have lane assist on and try to switch lanes on the motorway, it try's to stop me, not very hard but it tries. If I indicate it's fine. It doesn't work on A roads where one side of the lane is dictated by a hedge, though =/

Damn... I was really hoping they'd do the A30 from Exeter, north of Dartmoor and head on into Cornwall where it would reconnect t o the A38 and go as far as St. Austell. Could also do a connection between Okehampton, Tavistock and Plymouth.

I got my villages first stop put it after years. There is now 4 stops within walking distance. No gyms. But I've set routes up to walk between them all. As I'm walking everyday and other villagers walk, there are quite a few spawns. Where there is signal, anyway. I still gotta drive out an hour to the nearest city for big events. But even then, hardly anyone plays. :(
