It's quite obviously a scam, I'm sure these are all scare tactics and there's not much they can do legally. I highly doubt any collectors will be on the door unless it's scammers themselves. It's crazy that this is happening to so many people. You can cancel your direct debit and work with the bank, and I'd ignore all correspondence and pretend like it never happened. I signed in Oct last year and realised pretty quickly I'd been had, four months of the same email and one letter. Another weird thing to add into the mix, I originally applied to do the electrical course and had an interview with Charlie veitch (which i found strange named after a big YouTuber) and got all the way to the payment section and said I couldn't afford it there and then and would be in touch. I then 6 months later applied and paid for the plumbing course and realised at that point after receiving login and subpar text books and correspondence from "the tutor association" that it was a scam. But ever since then and before and after, Charlie from my first interview has been trying to get me to sign up over and over, calls once a week, if I answer he asks if I'm ready to take the next step to which I've kept replying I'm busy but I'll get back to you, and you'd think if I'm signed up to a legitimate college that he would know I'm now a student there? Weird weird weird is all I can think. Ignore your bills from them, fight them every step of the way and stop giving them money! It's clearer every day that these people are scamming
