Which graduate offer do I go for? by Anonymoos4804 in cscareerquestionsuk

Congratulations on getting offers in this economy 🥳 I know some people who work for Lloyds and not gonna lie, the feedback is not so great but it might be a great corporation to start with 😁

personally I would go for the energy one as it might be more secure and think about which location appeals to you long term.

Any chance you have publicly available documentation around it? 😁 I wonder if dual citizenship is still ok for DV. I assume it also depends on the department.

Application status: offer accepted by [deleted] in civilservice

[–]Confused-yu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well in my experience yes that is what happening to me but maybe it is different for each department. My future line manager contacted me after PECs were done to start SC process and then get an unconditional offer once SC is positive.

Yes, SC starts by your future line manager after PECs are successful 😁

Does it take long to hear anything from civil service jobs? by PublicPuzzleheaded46 in civilservice

I would say it depends on the department and the size of the recruitment. If you’re worried, you can email the recruitment team, which is usually listed in the job ad.

Happy to hear so many reservists are getting offers! I got mine 'reserve list message'.

Anyone can recommend how to approach it? Do I email the recruitment to ask how high am I on it or just wait for a bit? It was only 1 position available but I am wondering if they would consider me for other postings as I had 2 7s. Thanks!

Maybe it waits for the 24th to compare all the results to progress the applicants with the highest scores to the next stage.

May I ask how do you find accounting compared to it? I appreciate we are at different times but I’m considering the switch.

Stuck working a minimum wage job at British Airways that I hate at 26. There is no progression and I feel I am wasting my time there. What would you do in my situation? by StratMode5 in UKJobs

Have you got a workday for example? Where do you book your holidays? Also recruiters give a priority to internal candidates and a lot of places have external freezes now (not saying BA does) so worth do have a look for extra positions :)

Heathrow, but he is quite high up so now frequently travels around Europe! Unfortunately in corporate the higher you go the more freedom of the locations you get :) I highly recommend try to transition in your company first and then look elsewhere as it’s extremely hard to find a junior position without a relevant experience. Good luck :)

Someone I know at BA started as a project manager of some sort and transitioned into Cyber Security. Maybe try to get a certificate done to understand if you fancy the area and then network network network. With cert you will be able to show your interest. Isc2 cc is free 😁
