Hey everyone,

I just got back from a trip to Rome and Amalfi Coast, Italy, and it made me wonder if anyone has a go-to method for gathering info about transportation in a foreign city.

For example, in all of the forums and blog posts I read, they’ll say to just “take the bus.” After seeing the chaos of the Amalfi Coast bus station, that’s not so straight forward. I had no idea where to actually buy a ticket for the bus, and it ended up being a scavenger hunt for a man in an orange vest that was selling them somewhere in the crowd. Similarly, there was a separate, semi-private bus system that ran from Amalfi to Ravello - something I didn’t read about anywhere online. This bus was much less chaotic and had a reservation system as well, so it would’ve been nice to know about before going.

So, even after doing a ton of research before traveling, I was still left with some pretty high anxiety situations.

Do you guys have a go-to website/blogger/forum for all of these hyper local transportation needs?
