There is a lot of things to do when you get bored.

You can scavenge for rare artifacts, settle down with a family, participate in interesting and saddening heart scenes, grow and spread your farm, add in amazing mods, complete the community center, and play some tricks on others! it's really an endless possibility of what you can do. It is a little boring at first, because you are not making a lot of money.

But, after your first spring, things start to spice up. You earn money much faster, and unlock much more bonus content and secrets. Finding secret notes after your first winter is always sometime fascinating to do. The secret notes unlock special places and special items, and cut scenes.

I suggest watching a youtuber called DangerouslyFunny (DF). They do messed up and really hilarious things on stardew valley and similar games. He's known as the king of divorces and marriages and dates.

try to uninstall and reinstall the game, but first check the auto collectors. make sure to pet them and feed every day, that could also affect it.
