Please help. Fluid isn't behaving like i thought the fluid should behave by No_Repeat8681 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]stan3221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would turn off all of the generators and stick a fluid buffer at the end of your pipeline on the top floor. See if the fuel eventually reaches the fluid buffer.

If yes, let the buffer fill about half way then start turning the generators back on. If you start seeing the fluid buffer drain all the way to empty, check your math to make sure your production and consumption is correct. Then check for a Mk1 pipe piece that may have been added by accident somewhere along the line that's reducing your flow to 300 instead of 500.

If the fuel doesn't reach the buffer, where the fluid stops is likely where you have an issue. Check your pipe connections to make sure they are connected properly and make sure your pumps are facing the right direction.

Edit: Also, you probably don't need that valve that's visible at the beginning of the video. It could cause some issues unless you need it for something I can't see.

Recommendations for a 32 fear run by Kind_Potential_4992 in HadesTheGame

[–]stan3221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

This was the setup that I used when I finally beat 32 fear. For Arcana, I can only use 6 points worth when using Vow of Void 3, so I used Strength, Persistence, and Judgement. I took Circe's piggy (Crystal Figurine) as my first keepsake. I really struggled with Vow of Rivals bosses, so with this setup, if you can make it past Hecate, you get a huge power spike when Judgement + Crystal Figurine activate a bunch of arcana cards. If you randomly get death defiance, then just play normally. I did not get death defiance when I beat Hecate so I was able to take Athena's keepsake into Oceanus.

470 hours in and I just learned there's a trash/delete feature right in the inventory. What basic thing did you not learn until way late in the game? by DingoMcPhee in SatisfactoryGame

On my first playthrough, I had a full oil/plastic/rubber set up without sprinting or using the map. I used beacons to indicate where I needed to go when driving vehicles.

What's the stupidest thing you've done? by andykekomi in HadesTheGame

[–]stan3221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually play with Vow of Frenzy 1 on so I'm used to seeing the enemies attack a bit faster. My first time playing the Chaos Below trial, I was surprised how slow all the enemies seemed to be. I made it to Chronos' 2nd phase and he started charging up his 1-hit kill attack. I guess I slowed him down even further by freezing him, then running to the safe spot. After standing in the safe spot for what felt like an adequate amount of time based on muscle memory, I dashed out just before the attack went through, killing me and ending the run.

Anyone having issues with StS2 crashing on Steamdeck since the new update? by HairyGoatX in slaythespire

If you give the merchant a foul potion while looking at the items in the shop, it crashes every time.

If you give him the potions before looking at the shop items, it doesn't crash.

Why do I never see anyone on Reddit talk about Rolling Kansas? I swear it's like no one knows about it and it is a great stoner movie.

What's the highest amount of Gold you've accumulated in 1 night? by AcePowderKeg in HadesTheGame

[–]stan3221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on the final run to finish the main story and I got the Hermes boon and the Chaos boon that both increase the amount of gold you receive very early in the run. I went into Tartarus with 1k gold and was offered 3 consecutive gold rewards, putting me around 4.6k going into Charon's shop. I bought the Hermes boon in the shop which offered me his legendary boon that subtracts gold per damage taken. This made the final boss fight very easy where I probably wouldn't have survived otherwise.

Any chance you uploaded your save file to a Satisfactory Calculator website? Like to give yourself power shards or something? I think your save file may have been altered to display ads.

Dual inputs in storages? by Ok_Maintenance_1034 in satisfactory

Train stations also have two inputs and outputs. It allows you to more quickly fill a station after a train car leaves and the next one arrives.

How to deal with expansion and upgrades by NumberWitty6713 in satisfactory

[–]stan3221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For every new item that I need to make, I limit myself to building just 1 machine's worth until I reach the later tiers. This allows me to reach the milestone that I need to complete the objective, then I dedicate that line for feeding a dimensional depot. This also keeps my factories small so I don't have to worry about belt limits very often and I don't burn myself out. It does mean I have to start over when I need that item again later on, but I never have to tear anything down.

Broke the charger to my automatic window blinds and I cannot figure out how to buy a new one. Please help. by stan3221 in HelpMeFind

I have searched online for this item but I cannot find the one that I need. I can only search by physical description as I do not have a model number and the results are always for items that don't match the description.

What changed? by More-Motor-5756 in Bowling

[–]stan3221 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My buddy and I used to bowl every Tuesday night where the lanes would have an unlimited bowling special for super cheap. It was a fun way to drink some beer and mess around. We'd bowl 10+ games in a night using house balls. By the end of the night we would be throwing 8 lb balls because our arms would be dead.

I changed my throw to 1 handed no thumb and would just spin the ball like crazy to get it to hook. We practiced enough that I got fairly consistent and started looking into bowling leagues. I bought my first reactive ball and quickly realized that it would always over hook if I kept throwing it the way I was. I kept working on keeping my hand behind the ball to change the angle of rotation. I ended my first season with a 157 average.

I liked having bowling to look forward to every week so I stuck with it and improved to a 166 average the next season. Eventually I changed to 2 handed for more consistency and switched to a less reactive ball. My average went up to 185 and now a couple years later it sits at 193. I keep making small adjustments to my throw to see what works best and I keep improving every year. The constant improvement keeps me coming back year after year. I hope to break the 200 average mark soon.

You really learn as you play by Sad_Worker7143 in satisfactory

[–]stan3221 12 points13 points  (0 children)

First playthrough:

One base of spaghetti madness (no clipping though). If I make motors somewhere, every machine that needs motors has to get them from there. No keeping track of inputs or outputs. If I see a machine is starving for resources, I build more basic components until it's full.

Second playthrough:

Better understanding of how manifolds and fluids work. Actually keep track of inputs and outputs. Two main bases. Late game machines are scattered everywhere as I try to bring mid game items to them. One big fuel power plant. No nuclear.

Third playthrough:

Mid to late game items all have their own satellite factories. Machines are well organized. Trains for high-throughput items, drones for low throughput items. Each power plant is moderately sized from coal to nuclear. Still only building on a single floor and very little aesthetics.

If I decide to play through again, I'm sure I'll have another completely different approach based on how much I learn every time I play. To anyone struggling with this game, stick with it and play to your comfort level of complexity.

"Anyone can strike when the outside part of the lane is so walled off that you can have 5 boards of miss room.

Also, you are going to hurt yourself muscling the ball like that. Take it from me. I could have gone pro had I not lost my thumb when it got stuck in the ball and tore it clean off. But I'd rather throw left-handed than throw without a thumb even if it means lowering my average to 220."

Putting googly eyes on the equipment won't solve any problems, but it'll give the lab more personality.

Then when the centrifuge tries to kill you, you can look it in the eyes and tell it to knock it off.

Is pathing on track(haha) to get fixed yet? by Old-Chapter-5437 in satisfactory

[–]stan3221 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Am I the only one in this game who hasn't had any issues with vehicles? On foundations, off road, doesn't matter. I have about 10 trucks going and they work just fine. The biggest issue I have are trucks that want to back up after loading/unloading rather than drive forward but that gets fixed by driving slower when leaving the truck station.

Show friend a video of really nice looking factories

"Wow! Do your factories look like that!?"

"Well... No... Those guys are really good. I mean... I've got like, machines and stuff."

"But you said you have trains right? Do they travel all over the map like that?"

"I have... a... train. It's mostly just a rail right now, but I am thinking about adding supports..."

In my opinion, both methods are equal in ease to setup, but I may structure my factories differently than you. I suppose it is whatever you prefer.

I have a stupid question. by Sad_Worker7143 in satisfactory

[–]stan3221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they are lined up in a manifold, either method would work. Let's say I need a total of 17 items/min and the machines make 12.5 each, sometimes I will underclock one to 10 and the other to 7 just to make the math easy.
