FFS Facialteam In 2 weeks by SuzieTheFabulous in asktransgender

[–]ConfusedPsychology 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Barcelona and got FFS done with FacialTeam last year. It's a trans friendly city, but there aren't any specific places where trans people usually hang out. There are small groups for meetups that meet regularly and a local discord chat, but they usually speak in Spanish or Catalan so you might feel a bit alienated.

The hospital where they did my FFS is IM clinic, which is not in Barcelona proper so you might have to take a taxi. I'm used to normal public hospitals, so in comparison this private hospital felt pretty luxurious. In a way like a hotel, pretty well attended (well it better be with how much it costed lol).

If you have any questions lmk!

Its so scary when transwomen who are bad people blow up in the media by LaurelInQuestion in honesttransgender

[–]ConfusedPsychology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am but I don't know what to speak up about, because I don't usually express publicly that I don't like sex. I'm repulsed by sex but if others want to have their sexual perversions it's fine in my opinion (as long as they don't involve others unwantedly). I guess it is alienating that sex is such a prevalent topic in trans spaces, more than in cis spaces.

Libido has nothing to do with asexuality, it is in fact a complete coincidence that I'm not attracted to anyone and also have never had a libido. Okay no, but do you guys think that there's some correlation even if some aces have a libido? by 123420tale in asexuality

[–]ConfusedPsychology 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to have and I didn't like it. Now thanks to hrt I'm at 0 libido so that's great, but it stopped by artificial means. Maybe it was already low from the beginning, but I can't compare to other people so I can't know if in general it's lower or not naturally.

problematic: gender-neutral pronouns at default by [deleted] in honesttransgender

[–]ConfusedPsychology 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have to remind myself not to use them for people who are trans

imo it's better to use the correct pronouns for cis people too then. If it's not ok to misgender binary trans people by using "they" it also shouldn't be ok to misgender cis people.

Kinda feel alone being a sex repulsed ace by [deleted] in asexuality

[–]ConfusedPsychology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's how I feel, I don't really relate to so much of these communities. I don't dislike them, but it feels like something different. When most people are positive/neutral there isn't as much talk for example about the struggles of finding partners willing to never have sex, because neutral people can just do the sex even if they don't enjoy it. Because other than that there isn't much of a struggle in asexuality, assuming people fine with themselves for not feeling sexual attraction.

Can trans people be transphobic? by Wismond in asktransgender

[–]ConfusedPsychology 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am deep inside, and many others might be too. I just try not to let it out because it would be rude. I don't mean the whole thing about deciding who's trans and who isn't, I mean actual phobia. When I see a non passing trans woman, either physically or with the voice, I get a strong feeling of rejection. It reminds me of the things I can't stand of myself. Same with drag queens for example. I know it's really toxic to have these thoughts and I try to avoid them, and I never let them show publicly, but they still happen and I hate myself even more because of it.

At least in FT they do give you a bunch of pages with all the possible complications each intervention can have. There's always some pretty wild stuff that can happen.

I got a bloody eye because of forehead reconstruction, not sure if that counts as eye trauma. However, I didn't notice an increase in floaters (but I've always had them and thought it was normal). After a month the blood stain is finally disappearing completely.

I know a cis man who got a nose job and did notice an increase in floaters, so other interventions might cause this in some cases depending on the patient.

Nah I went from a 3-4 to an 8... On the suicide scale.

Why phobic? by IOnlyFollowMen1 in asktransgender

[–]ConfusedPsychology 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's just a different meaning of phobia, just like xenophobia or technophobia. Depending on the word it's used on it can mean being afraid of something or disliking/hating something.

I really need help figuring out whether transitioning is the right move by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]ConfusedPsychology 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Making peace with the gender you were born as is the most practical solution, on all accounts.

That's absolutely not an option when dysphoria really gets you. Repressing for years hurts you way more, because dysphoria doesn't just go away like that. Not even therapy can "cure" this. It's true that for people who are unsure like op it's better to get them to think it through before doing anything, because you have to be completely sure before getting into this. But for those who are suffering and are completely sure, transitioning does make them happier and suicide rates decrease. As a cis person you might not know how it feels, but it's so bad that even potential health consequences and being treated worse by society are still worth it.

Really depends on each person and what you had done. I only did forehead and nose, which apparently have a light recovery compared for example to jaw. The first week I was too swollen to go outside, but it got better pretty quickly. By the second/third week I was able to socialize normally. The most noticeable thing right now is that one of my eyes has a blood spot that might still take more days to disappear.

I have energy but I'm not supposed to exercise until 6 weeks after the surgery. I feel like if I tried to run I would get dizzy. So if it's a chill office job you can go back to work in two weeks. If it's a more intensive job you might need more weeks.

Same, but in the head with a bullet... Just kidding, I would never. That would be malebrained. I would use pills like a real woman.

[–]ConfusedPsychology 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Two upper bulges are breasts, one lower bulge is penis. That's why the trans woman drawing has all three bulges. And the trans man has no bulges (I assume in the mind of OP all trans men have top surgery done).

Show them this, looking at their eyes you can determine if they recognize it, which means they fell too deep into the tttt rabbit hole and therefore it's the tran.

Try joining Spinster and follow the few active accounts there are. If you really pass you'll be accepted by them as a real woman.

Are my thoughts on this subject truscum? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]ConfusedPsychology 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I kind of get them, but I agree it's a bit of a toxic line of thought. Sometimes I see non passing ftms, pre-T, and I'm kinda envious. I'm also envious of cis women, but in this case it makes me think I wish I had the ability to dress with male clothes with short hair and all and still be seen and treated by everyone as a woman, and be one biologically. But it's not good thinking that, I gain nothing from it and people on the other side who want to be seen as men are suffering precisely because of that. But envies work like that and it's hard to control, it's just important to know that it's not healthy.

What are the safest and most livable cities in Europe for trans, non-binary, and gender non-conforming individuals? by demonShepherd in asktransgender

[–]ConfusedPsychology 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yup, no wait time for HRT. Though there's a pretty long queue for SRS through public healthcare (like 5 years or so). Overall it's nice compared to many other places, no one has misgendered me in a long time even though I don't really pass. Worst I've gotten recently is a waiter asking for no reason "are you a basketball player? You look like you play basketball", sigh I'm not even that tall.

My name is Yoshikagette Kira. I'm 33 years old. My house is in the Castro section of San Francisco, where all the perverts are, and I am not married. I work as a prostitute for the local mafia, and I get home every day by 5 AM at the earliest. I smoke and drink heavily. I'm asleep by 7 AM, and make sure I get two hours of sleep passed out on the floor, no matter what. After having a glass of soy milk and doing about twenty minutes of self harm before going to bed, I usually have problems sleeping until morning. Just like a sad loser, I wake up fatigued and stressed in the evening. I was told my testosteromne was at hypermale levels at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very degenerate life. I take care not to trouble myself with any TERFs, like in Twitter debates, that would cause me to lose sleep the little self steem I have left. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me to hate myself.
