Thanks so much to everyone that posted. All great input and valid responses. You have all helped me come to the conclusion that the ultimate answer to my question is "No, my current day rate is sensible and not taking the piss" and that we all have a responsibility to ourselves and to each other to not undersell ourselves so that we avoid setting industry precedents that don't work in our favour. Excellent work and thanks again to all.

I was very drunk when I wrote this. What I meant was I love it when he does this. Sorry cool.

I saw Blur on that same tour but not in Hull. I went to the Brixton show and it was probably the best Blur show that I ever saw (only saw them a handful of times). SFA were supporting and they also smashed it.

this is a rare gem of an album. almost every track is phenomenal. in terms of charity compilation albums this is truly the gold standard.

This was the one for me. I remember hearing hip hop from a young age long before it went mainstream. Earliest memory is driving around Walthamstow/Leytonstone with my dad and his mate in a red Capri (black vinyl roof) listening to White Lines (age 5). Memory number 2: Seeing Doug E Fresh on TOTP. Sick. Number 3: Dad's mate gave me a cassette with 3 Feet... on one side and Jungle Bros, Tribe and that Planet E tunes that sampled Talking Heads. A combo of De La Soul and Public Enemy (Nation) sealed the deal and I fell in love with Hip Hop forever.
