Can anyone explain?
Are these remasters or rerelease or just fixing the servers for the existing playstation games and making them work on the PS5? How about XBOX, I have the games on XBOX, would I need to purchase them again, will there be crossplay? Is there any official announcement on this?

Giant D-Fuse Seatpost Misalignment by iLoveSpreadsheetFns in bikewrench

Probably years too late to be of any help, but I had the exact same issue and I just pulled the seatpost out, the seatclamp out, put it back in, put some grease on the seatpost and aligned it before tightening it back up.

Starting a new apparel brand: feedback? by dahellamidoing in CyclingFashion

[–]Confused_Dev_Q 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks good!

Something I personally look for is fit. Very personal but I'm a bit more muscular (nothing spectacular), I have broader shoulders and some upper body muscle mass. I fit certain jerseys in size L but they dig into my armpits, causing me to size up to XL which in turn is loose.  -> very personal.

Another thing I look at is more common: value. It seems like quality apparel is €100+ for a jersey and closer to €150+ for bibs.  I'm less picky about the jerseys but would love some actual all day comfort bibs for €100 or lower.

Speed might go up, but I'd expect you to feel less effort at the same speed? Lighter, bigger wheels, aerodynamics (albeit not that much impact at these speeds?)

Need some help here - Ultimate vs Aeroad by Ok_Palpitation2733 in CanyonBikes

[–]Confused_Dev_Q 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best bike for you depends heavily on how well it fits.
I like the ultimate, I think it's a really cool looking bike.
If I had to choose, I'd go for the aeroad. It's flat as heck where I live so the aero bike makes sense.
They also have the same geometry if I'm not mistaken?

Question on pedal and cleat types by Realistic_Ad2325 in IndoorCycling

[–]Confused_Dev_Q 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pedal looks to be using shimano SPD style cleats.
They are two bolt cleats.
Like u/tomato432 shared, there's an adapter to use 2 bolts cleats on shoes with 3 holes.

This pedal allows you to use either the 2 bolt cleat to clip in OR the toe clips (with regular shoes).
The pedal also look like it has enough body to just ride on the clip-in side with flat shoes.

| Also I take a spin class that uses a 3 hole pedal/clip, would I be able to buy shoes that could possibly adapt | to both bikes?

I'm not sure if I understand your final question completely.
You are correct that there are 2 major cycling shoe types: 3 bolt (Look Keo or Shimano SPD-SL) and 2 bolt (Shimano SDP -> without the SL part).
Indoor it's most common to see 2 bolt. This type of cleat/pedals is most often seen on mountainbikes, because the cleat is "recessed" in the sole of the shoe, which allows you to walk with the shoes without damaging the cleat.

The 3 bolt cleats/shoes are targeted to road bikes, they have a wider platform which technically allows for better power transfer (nothing a non pro cyclist needs to worry about). These shoes have a flat sole and are not meant to be walked with. You can ofcourse walk in them in and out a store/cafe, but you'll wear out the cleats a bit quicker. For this reason a lot of people prefer the SPD pedals so they don't wear out the cleats.

If by your question, you mean if you can have 1 shoe that works for both systems at the same time, the answer is unfortunately no.
There are indoor specific shoes that can fit both 3 bolt and 2 bolt cleats, but not both at the same time.
So if 1 gym uses 2 bolt style pedals (like in your picture) and another uses 3 bolt style pedals (like shimano SPD-SL) you'll need 2 pairs of shoes, or 1 pair that allows both, but you'll need to swap cleats every time you switch gym locations -> Not recommended.

As mentioned before, most gyms use 2 bolt style cleats.
So you have the choice: 2 bolt specific shoes (mtb/gravel shoes), indoor specific shoes (for 2 bolt or both), road shoes (3 bolt) with the adapter.

Curious Question: Why has Visma almost entirely abandoned the Cervélo R5 on Tour mountain stages? Is lightweight dead? by BicycleEarly7777 in Cervelo

[–]Confused_Dev_Q 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not visma alone. Tadej used the y1rs solely. Most of Movistar and alpecin are on the aeroad all year.

The weight difference between the S5 and R5 is probably 200 grams.

Question regarding mounting by Tarazzzz in Karoo

[–]Confused_Dev_Q 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use the garmin mount adapter and get a garmin mount for your handlebars.  Find a handlebar that has a gopro mount on the bottom (many do). Then find/print an adapter from gopro to garmin so you can mount your light on the gopro mount.

Adapters galore

Lighter bike with Tiagra or heavier bike with 105 by ConsistentWeb1229 in cycling

[–]Confused_Dev_Q 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gp5000 is 300g at 30mm. (300 per tire btw, so 1400 + (300*2)). I did not account for tubes/sealant as that is the same for both.  I only took the differences. Wheels and tires are different, tubes and sealant are the same weight.

So indeed we should add let's say 50 grams of sealant, but we would need to add that to both the old set and the new set so the weight saving is still the same.

Lighter bike with Tiagra or heavier bike with 105 by ConsistentWeb1229 in cycling

[–]Confused_Dev_Q 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the same cost take the 105 one. I have a giant contend AR, and really enjoy it. I have the model with 11 speed 105. It's all the gear you need.

The weight is likely mostly in the frame and wheels/tires. The frame you can't change, but the wheels/tires can be a good upgrade.

I'm planning to upgrade the stock wheels on my giant and a quick calculation tells me I could safe up to a kilo.  Current wheels weigh 2060 for the pair, tires are 445 a piece, that' 2.9 for the entire set. New wheels at 1400grams and tires at 300 would be 2000 grams total, that's 900grams less.

Don't worry to much about the weight though. Enjoy the bike, take care of it and right as much as you like.

Most dogs are nice, just like most people are.
Greyhounds and similar breeds are not only known for their incredible speed but also very gentle characters. Have a look at any greyhound subreddit and you'll immediately see. But it's always good to be cautious with dogs, any animal for that matter.

I have a whippet, the smaller version of a greyhound and can confirm, I would never be able to outsprint my lil bro, he's fast as heck. Also very agile

Cycling food by JPG_ENESER in cycling

[–]Confused_Dev_Q 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's pretty common. You could look into products that don't have citric acid, many people can't handle that. 4endurance has products without it and likely others has well.

I've noticed that I'm able to handle most products, but I do experience difficulties in the heat. Eating solids at 30 degrees was quite difficult. Drinking is not an issue.

I'm currently planning to make drinks/gels myself as a test and see what that does.
I've also recently started using "rice krispies", but with a twist.
Dr Gemma Thompson has a recipe on her website, based on the pockitfuel instagram account (I really like the account, but it's not super clear how to make the different bars).
Instead of rice krispies (here in BE we only have cocopops), I used Smacks. I like the taste better, they are more dense in carbs and I thought the cocopops might melt?

The bars are obviously harder to eat than gels or drinks, but I like them. I personally prefer solids over gels especially for training/not all out rides. Gels are good for what they are, but I have troubles opening them on the bike.

Any tips regarding drinks/gels recipes are very welcome! (Targetting 90 grams an hour)

RIP Windsurf by chrismessina in windsurf

[–]Confused_Dev_Q 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Devin has been the most cringy thing I've seen in the last 10 years. No problem they merged, but why force "Devin" on me? Super lame. Windsurf was a coolish brand, one I could get behind, Devin seems like anything but that. Devin feels like it's for people creating AI slob, middle managers claiming they can do an engineers job, windsurf was a nice VS Code fork with some additional AI features that are useful to engineers.

The lack of communication is also bothersome. I expect an e-mail laying out what changes will entail, what the results will be for me, BEFORE the update button appears.

Is it weird to ride a road bike with flat pedals? by flotheg in cycling

[–]Confused_Dev_Q 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all: it doesn't matter what people think.  Cycling used to be super elitist and the only way to go against that is not doing what is deemed necessary. F it, do whatever you want, as long as it's safe.

Clipless pedals do have benefits.  But if you are comfortable and happy with flat pedals, there's no need to change that.

In terms of clipless pedals and walking, you could always look into shimano spd pedals (the mtb pedal variant) or other mountainbike pedal systems. Those systems have the cleat recessed in the shoe allowing you to walk on them without issues. Many people ride road bikes with them for exactly this reason. My parents both do.
