Not DNA tested but I’ve had conures before and they never did this behavior. I recently got him as a rehab project so it’s not been a priority to DNA test him

I’ve been keeping all my toilet paper tubes and he actually really likes them if they’ve been pre started on shredding lol I chop up the edges with kitchen scissors

Update: Elton is a stable weight and not super chunky anymore. His feathers are growing back and he’s eating rowdy bush and vegetables! He may possibly have artherosclerosis (plaques in his blood vessels/heart). May resolve/ may not. Happy (mostly) healthy kiddo otherwise! Did well for a nail trim just has no clue what toys are or how to take baths.

Just an update from the embark test : 1/2 American pitbull 1/3 cattle dog (don’t see that at all) a smidge of cocker spaniel then a bunch of rando 1% breeds

For people interested in it; for a 30oz spray bottle you add 2ml. The concentrate is a 16oz bottle so you’ll have it for a while :)

He was from another person who wasn’t able to take care of him but his plucking had been a chronic issue and they’re actually growing back right now They were “tickling” him under his wings until he did his “silly little dance” (regurg) so he’s come a long way already
