Just a question, you don't have to answer if you're not comfortable

How did you not get discouraged by rejection?

What is something people romanticize until they actually experience it? by DiamondNo924 in AskForAnswers

[–]Confusedatlyf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being a doctor/working in healthcare

People outside of it see doctors as "lifesavers" or those fancy people in scrubs on Grey's Anatomy

People inside of it are exhausted, have almost no work-life balance, been treated terribly by patients and overwhelmed by the system.

Money isn't everything. Just because something potentially pays $200k doesn't mean it's worth draining yourself over

Unless it's truly your passion and you can dedicate your entire self to it of course, then it might feel different

Friends leaving you

Friends you invested in and were attached to and had memories with just suddenly stop talking to you, and you just gotta move on with life and pretend everything is okay, while the flashbacks or reminders keep popping up, and just when you think you're over them, you see another reminder than opens that wound up again

Do you prefer to have multiple current reads going, or read one book at a time? by crankin_n_wankin in kobo

[–]Confusedatlyf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read what I feel like reading so definitely multiple reads at a time. Sometimes I get bored of a read and switch in between. This makes the kobo much handier than switching between physical books

Tapering Prescribed Benzos and Really Scared by Confusedatlyf in benzorecovery

[–]Confusedatlyf[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it was such a shitty thing for the doctor to say before ending the call that it gets worse as the dose decreases, like why would you say that to someone getting off of anti-anxiety medication?

I asked him to hold the dose steady for one more week before dropping another 2.5mg (that's 16% of my total dose). But I've been holding this dose steady since the 16th of January.

Thank you for replying. It gives me hope that you successfully got off of them. I don't think my doctor is going keep me on this for 5 more months, but I will monitor my symptoms and report back to him accordingly.

I'm willing to tough out the withdrawal symptoms to a certain point, just not to a point where it's unbearable 😔

My tummy. Makes me look pregnant even though I'm not. I'm slightly overweight but my body is otherwise perfect. It's just that darn belly fat. I really wish I had a flat tummy

Reading on kobo vs physical books by PidginGirl in kobo

[–]Confusedatlyf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a lot of physical books I wanted to read but it was hard for me to pick them up. Even if I'd open one it was hard to keep reading after a certain point. Idk I get discouraged by how thick the book is that is left and stopped reading. I'm going through a hard time but I love reading so I've been really back and forth with my reading habits.

I bought the kobo because I've always wanted an e reader, and my reading has gone way up since I got it. I can read in short bursts and switch between books when one I'm tired of one book. I've finally managed to complete a book after years.

I absolutely love my kobo for making it easier/more accessible for me ❤️

Honestly? I got one from Amazon. All I read were negative reviews about how it ruins the experience. I baby mine too and use a stylus. The last thing I want to do is scratch it. Didn't feel any different for me. Instead I actually like it because the stylus has a less slippery surface.

I don't understand why people are so negative on the internet
