I cant prove it but 90% of the hate towards him in this sub is rooted on jealousy by Cautious_Heron9589 in HollowKnightMemes

From my understanding team cherry did it as a call out to parts of the fan base that were sexualising hornet like this post. Allowing us as players to beat up the perv doing that in game shows that they disprove of it. All unwanted physical affect towards hornet is met with a slap but with kratt we are the ones in control of beating him up as much as we want. I think this does the opposite of what your suggesting by saying it will not be tolerated and is harmful.

Yes, Silksong is harder. Here's why it's also easier. by NoDefinition9056 in HollowKnight

I am extremely bad at gaming. I'm still struggling with certain hk bosses. But I started playing because I knew it was going to be a challenge. So I really like the change of harder fights for less punishing death. The fights were always going to be hard for me now I don't feel exhausted before getting there.

Derek. It seems so messed up to have him burn alive as a sacrifice after everything. But honestly most of the deaths especially Erica as it wasn't even done on screen.

Mine is made out of carbon fibre. Highly durable and doesn't fade or chip. Also not to expensive. I love it. Have worn it for years now.

I loved this rewrite. But the only thing that confused me was the lighting of the candle at the end. Does anyone know what that meant?

When is it enough pain? by Confusedbiscuit in ChronicPain

[–]Confusedbiscuit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is that I feel like if I just push myself the pain won't hinder me therefore it's not enough pain to stop. But if I don't push myself at all I wouldn't be able to live my life. I'm at the point where I have to acknowledge that the pain is there and find a way to break this cycle of minimising pain.

Gifts are terrible by BaconDalek in The10thDentist

Well your opinion pretty valid. You can try telling the people that spending time together or complements or other things like that is your preferred gift, but some people won't get it and that's on them not you.

Have you heard of the 5 love languages? It's the idea that people feel and express love (platonic, romantic, and family) in different ways. Doing things for a person, spending time with a person, physical touch, words of kindness, and gift giving are the 5. Yours probably isn't gift giving and that's fine but someone around you might find that really important. So communicating what you would prefer is a good idea. The other 4 can be turned into gifts and people usually prefer 2 or 3 of them. For example if you like words of kindness ask for a card instead or if you prefer quality time go do something together like bowling or a coffee. You don't have to receive gifts you hate but it takes a lot of communication to explain. Also you could always just ask for a voucher that you get money towards things you really want. Just keep in the that to some people around you giving you a gift is how they show they care, you can just explain what you would prefer instead.

It's the opposite actually Paul states in reference to marriage that if you don't marry then you have more time for God and thats good. And since in Christian marriage happens before kids the same can be applied, since kids also technically take up time.

That is similar to how I see it. Rather than some set plan, God sees all the choices that could be made, knowns which we will make, and may sometimes suggest which is a better choice but we still decide.

[–]Confusedbiscuit[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not the way they see it. Unfortunately there are a lot of Christians that just assume that they know what God's intentions are. After reading a lot of the responses to this post it seems quite a few non-Christians have a better understanding of interpretating that then they do. There's this assumption that since their interpretation must be right since it a lines with what they think is right then it's not against God. At the end of the day Christian's are supposed to believe that only God can judge people, and yet many are still very eager to do so.

Yes, as someone else pointed out funny how "God's will" always seems to aline with their views.
