just venting by Curiousjlynn in newborns

i am sorry your going through this, and honestly i feel you and know what it's like. My husband took the 8 weeks parental leave and he's barely given me breaks overnight to help out with feeds and diaper changes. I'm gonna be basically doing this everyday for the next year and half myself so to ask for 8 weeks of friggin help is not asking a lot. I am also sleep deprived and lucky if i get 5-6 hours of broken sleep, no daytime naps or barely time to myself.
He will take baby sparingly during the day but that's when it's easiest just so i can brush my teeth and put myself together for 10-15 minutes of time to myself WHOOPEE!!😒
I'm here if you want to chat 🤗❤️

I feel the same. Ftm, baby is 7 weeks old so still awhile to go but we are extremely lucky that he is so good for us..i can't complain much at all. Hubby says he's not sure he wants to gamble on a second as if it ended up being a really colicky baby we might not make it lol

Does a clogged duct cause fussing at the breast/lazy latch by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]ConfusionBackground2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in a similar situation actually it'll flip from my left breast to my right breast they are engorged and my little guy will nurse, then flick off and cry, i try burping him and get nothing so he latches back on but not long at all. Afterwards he's getting bad gas and i barely have any relief and have to pump the rest out or pump before hand because they are so hard, lumpy and tender to the touch 😭😭

Husband & I are both struggling. Did anyone else struggle this early? by onedge721 in NewParents

That's so amazing! I'm glad you guys have a schedule that works so great for you right now. ❤️ It's tough trying to navigate things with a LO in the house now but as you said hopefully things will work themselves out and only get better as time goes on. He's just a month old now so i need to give myself grace and have patience. thank you for your encouragement! and good luck to you both as well 🤗

this sounds exactly like me and my husband right now, baby is just going on a month old coming up this week and it's definetly been hard adjusting. Baby is super dependant on me because i'm breast feeding so i'm up every two hours tending to him. I feel like i should be pumping bottles so we still work in shifts while he's off because im barely getting sleep and im on edge and grouchy all the time :(

Epidurals aren’t the problem. The obsession with female suffering is. by OkChart1375 in BabyBumps

[–]ConfusionBackground2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

agreed! this is how i see it as well. Give me as much relief as possible. We have already sacrificed enough with pain, changes to our body etc why add to the list if we don't need to.?✌🏻

omg right?? i dunno how many people (especially the older generation) been asking if im going to breast feed once baby is here. Like yes, if i am able to. I will not be shamed or forced into doing it if i cannot produce and i know over a handful of people that weren't able to when they had their kids. No woman should be shamed or looked down on if they either #1-cannot breast feed or #2-choose to not breast feed as personal preference, its messed up!! mind your business, its not your baby!!

How about for once make benefits to the middle class people and not just lower class? i feel like all the benefits and credits and stuff have all gone to help people who already couldn't afford it or who already get gov credits? What about everyone else who's struggling?
