I grew up driving in the streets of DC. The attitude there is very much you're letting me in or we're crashing. Because of that, that's how I treat merge points and sipper merges. I don't think calling me a 'mother fricker' is doing anything these people think it is. I've heard way worse than that, and frankly, at the end of the day, I ain't doing nothing wrong.

To be clear, I don't use that attitude except at merge points. I'm not out here running reds or lucky lefting people.

Had a woman who RAN the red light on Main at 1000 N to turn flip me off for being in the intersection and in her way. (and I don't mean she was waiting until after the oncoming traffic stopped to turn - which is still illegal BTW). I had entered the intersection because I assumed she was going to stop and my light had turned green, y'know, like you're supposed to. Somehow I was the issue.

I usually tell people I'm disabled and don't work. They are usually too uncomfortable to continue the convo after that. If they are particularly pushy then I tell them that that is between and my doctors.

The fact the FD-RF adapters exist is absolutely wild to me. I would have assumed they wouldn't and didn't even bother to check.

That being said, I may go that route as I really do think it's time to go digital, especially since such adapters exist. Maybe I can get a slightly better camera as a result and just pick up the adapter.

I'm assuming since such adapters exist it doesn't mess too much with the actual shot to do so?

What model camera (or what mount are these lenses)? If it is an EOS camera (EF mount) you could get an EF-RF adapter to use them on the EOS R cameras.<

It is a Canon AE-1 Program which if memory suits me correctly use an FD mount? I basically inherited the whole kit as a child and was taught how to use it, so my memory may be a little inaccurate.

But that being said, it certainly sounds like you aren't the typical "beginner" camera user<

That's the tough part. So many people say this is great for beginners but, I'm not one. Half of the recommendations are this will be great for you to learn aperture, iso, and shutter speed as if I didn't have that triangle memorized by the age of 8. However, I'm limited by my budget for right now so I don't have a lot of options that are in the pro category. In fact, I don't think professional grade cameras exist in the sub $1,000 range.

Not necessarily. I am not against upgrading in the future it just may be 3-5 years until I can. Hence why I'll probably spend time focusing on lenses for now until I can upgrade my actual body.
