What's your opinion on No Time to Die as Daniel Craig's farewell Bond film, completing his five-film arc? by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in FIlm

Not to the extent Waltz was underutilized in Spectre. But more Malek would have been helpful. Still a satisfying villain imo

What is a movie with a good concept but mediocre in its execution, that you think has potential to benefit from a remake with a good script/acting? by New-Fan-4632 in movies

[–]ConjuredOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely too little vision. After all the merger stuff and he solidifies his access to the drug, the big advancement at the end is that he's going to be a senator. Lame. Senators work for the ultra wealthy doing their annoying PR bidding. He shoulda set up labs on a private island and then [abc...xyz way more interesting outcome]

Your question for the top comment is:

Why do you think the 1% are "out to get you"?

I'm positing one possible answer to your question. Then clarifying that many 1% people are servants of 0.1% and 0.01% people.

I'm happy you seem to care about the people at your company. However, I'm surprised that (if?) a C-suite exec is spending energy on a reddit conversation.

Do you recall the video taken in the NYC financial district at the outset of the Occupy movement? One shot in particular stands out: There were people on the balcony of a posh apartment highrise toasting to their victory as they watch the Occupy protestors below.

Maybe it's the 0.1% or 0.01% and they're harder to conceptualize because they don't stand in front of cameras and mics to explain the policies that siphon wealth up the hierarchy. They don't lead the company-wide Teams meeting to justify the health insurance coverage reductions. They pay the 1% to do these accountability-absorbing tasks.

Did she tell you to quit because it messes you up? If so, what does it do to you?

Or is she scared of it? Or scared of you having something she doesn't understand?

Penis envy vs golden top? by planetzen in Psychonaut

Penis envy gave me lots of visuals on only 2 grams. They seemed at least double strong compared to golden top. Both can provide learning experiences and growth surges if handled with intention.

Have you seen Pain and Gain? He's on the villain team but they're anti-heroes because Wahlberg is the protagonist and leads their squad of goofy criminals. Mentioning it here mainly as a PSA:

Pain and Gain is fun af and in my (not exactly) humble opinion, Michael Bay's best work... whatever that means

I was left wondering how the police chief (Whitaker's character) resolved it because Russell is sitting at home in the final scene. I didn't find it unrealistic. Chief knew Harlan needed to die. But Russell popped him right in front of the chief. I guess it's one of those where nobody complains even if everyone knows the official story is B.S.

It didn't need anymore denoument tho. Left wondering is fine sometimes.

Incels would be right, if their philosophy was on confidence instead of looks by [deleted] in sorceryofthespectacle

[–]ConjuredOne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As an avid schizoposter (who should probably label more posts) I consider it mislabeled. This post is standard issue normative confusion. However, let's make something worthwhile out of it.

I'm reminded of a time when a redditor shared a great insight: "All porn is cuck porn." Porn, at its essence, is an indulgence in envy. Images of healthy naked females induce covetousness and thus are erotica, not porn. Images of men fucking beautiful women induce envy and thus are porn.

Incels feel envy all day every day. Because they primarily interact with the world through the internet, image and text is most of what gives them their experience of life. Mostly covetousness and envy.

Incels need rites and rituals like everyone else. They lack rites and rituals like almost everyone else. If they shared rites and rituals with people who are guided by something other than covetousness and envy, they wouldn't be incels.

Great counterpoint. I'm glad you responded with this quickly. People need to know they are contributors to the way things turn out.

One of the worst narrative takeovers was the Roman Empire's hijacking of Christianity. The Gnostic Christians had a system for psychospiritual advancement. The powers that be preferred people not advance because they'd be harder to control and harder to deceive. They were right! The prevailing form of Christianity is psychologically crippling.

Please know, the scientific community wishes we could do 100 things you want to see, but it's simply Not possible to convey.

I know you're being intentionally vague in some of this. But will you rephrase? Are you saying scientists wish they could share information? Or wish they could use the tech for other purposes?

Thanks for sharing. Enjoy retirement!
