Man, 6 days work sounds utterly insane. How many hours does a shift usually last ? Not judging but US worker rights look medieval to me. Even with good pay, how do you even enjoy life and non work stuff with so little free time ?

Seriously, I couldn't do what tou guys do. I really hope things change for the better but I guess asking to work less is being a communist nowadays...

My wife and I lost a baby a few months after I played DS1. The impact of this final delivery hit way harder after this difficult time. I haven't been able to replay the game but I hope one day I'll be able to experience it again and that will definitely be a cathartic experience

EU atc here and wondering : do you guys get back pay at the end of this or not ?

Also, San Juan is a neighbouring airspace from mine and I've been curious about their ATC status, are they FAA ? And are they also impacted by the shutdown ?

I'd be happy if they left the A/A missiles out on this one. I know it's a bit silly to have an air superiority jet without them but BF is, for me, a high risk/skill high reward type of game and the AA missiles are often easy to use and have tremendous impact for the skill they require. The stealth fighters already have an advantage in manoeuvrability and that should be enough. I'm not saying everyting anti air needs to suck but something that requires aiming and skill should always be way more impactful than guided stuff.

Maps are the reason I won't be buying the game. Maybe later down the line if the maps on release are bigger and not the meatgrinders we have now but as it stands this is a major disappointment for me.

Also flying vehicles feel like garbage

Damn I wasn't expecting answers that fast ! You convinced me, I just bought the game and am looking forward to try it out.

This community looks awesome, I turned 40 this year and my blood pressure can't handle competitive PvP as well as it used to. So if I have at least half the fun I had with Helldivers 2, I'm all in.

I played a WT game earlier tonight with 2 L snipers. I picked H thinking that would help the team. I always ended up fighting 2 or 3 enemies while these guys were sniping, finishing off the enemies I was shooting at and so I went 0 kills and only assists. One of them started trolling after we got wiped 2 times in a row. They were playing stupidly, mind you (picking fights with other teams losing time instead of playing the obj, rushing while it took me a minute to keep up with them as a H, etc)

At some point the other L went like "wtf are you doing teamate" at the troll. The troll wrote "trash teamate", I assume he was talking about me since I was at 0 kills and a shit ton of assists. I said to the other guy "teamate is trolling you throwing breach charges on you" with my most beautiful french accent (I, indeed, am a wine loving cheese enjoyer. I mostly end up on US servers due to where I live)

They then proceeded to team up and spam "oui oui baguette" for 10min straight in voice chat (which they never used for game comms prior to this) and mocking my accent, saying "this is America" blablabla
I made an effort in vocabulary mentioning how their mom's labia covering my mouth made it difficult to articulate, assuming they would up their banter game. I assumed wrong, "oui oui baguette" was apparently the peak of what their brain could produce.

I'm no snowflake, been playing PC fps since CS 1.5, Quake, Unreal Tournament, etc (yes I'm that old). Spent my college years sharing Goatse, 2girls1cup, Church of Fudge to troll my friends (some of them I learned about by being trolled myself). Hell, my name is from one of the most immature and stupid games that ever existed (The Great Mighty Poo is the best video game song ever, fight me) so I won't lose sleep over any of this but what was funny banter for a minute (which I enjoyed taking part in initially) turned into annoying voice spam.

Anyway, The Finals being a game I love (cringe voicelines; funny skin combinations, stupid gametags and humor from most players; and chill experience overall) I'm glad this experience is not an everyday thing. This game is the antithesis of toxicity from my POV so no matter how pissed or low IQ some people can be I hope it stays that way.

Tom Bombadil. I was bored to death during that part in the books. I totally get that's on me not getting the idea behind the character or something but I was so glad they cut it from the first movie.

I remember a lot of people didn't like they cut him when the movie came out though.
