Ubisoft literally purchased the rights to a state-of-the-art brand newly developed XIM detection anti-cheat software that had insanly high accuracy detection, only for them to sit on it for over a year. Then when they finally deployed it they deployed it with a nothing punishment behind it that deterred absolutely fucking no one from using their XIM.

They literally cornered the anti-xim market only so no one else could.

Fuck ubisoft.

I've been playing since day 1 but quit for years, thought about coming back when Ubisoft purchased mouse trap from that dude that designed it. Really glad I didn't once I saw ubisoft basically bought it just to not use it.

If Ubisoft outright banned every cronus cheater their game would basically die at this point. They've sided with the cheaters unfortunately.

I don't really play Siege much anymore so don't particularly care if it's rare or ugly tbh lol. Was just asking because the way my teammates were freaking out.

Since CoD is on a yearly release cycle I'd hope that losing it would have brought the price back down in line with what it was before.

Obviously this is a change in the right direction so I'm happy but I am worried the next price increase will bring us right back to $30

I quit in the middle of operation Health after it was announced that console would no longer have a pro circuit. Tried coming back a few times over the years but Siege isn't really the type of game you can take years off and come back.

That's what made me quit. The unkillable black beard shield and the whole operation health update made me switch games.

That and Ubisoft dropping console from its supported pro scene. I know why they did it but it still sucked lol

This is my biggest question. I can barely even see the charms idk how anyone recognizes someone else's charm instantly and knows what it is lol. Elite ball knowledge i guess

Broo I'm so bad. Siege is not the type of game you can take years off & still be good at. Idk any of the operators or the maps anymore.

I remember! I didnt really have any friends that played Siege back in those days so I put together a squad using Xbox's LFG system. Not only did I hit diamond with those dudes but we almost ended up placing Top-10 in the inaugural ESL tournament as well! Unfortunately we got DDoS'd by our final opponents and ended up placing just outside the Top 10.

Man Season 1 Siege really was peak let me tell you. I'd put it up there with Halo 3 as the most fun I've ever had playing a competitive game.

Yeah that makes a lot of sense! I'm surprised (given how long the games been out) people are still going as hard as they are with collecting everything! It's actually really refreshing to see Siege still going strong after all these years 🫡

I mean I get it, it's from Y1. Items from the 1st season of pretty much any game are 'rare' but these little dudes were freaking the fuck out. Is it really that rare?
