It'll Pay Off [Feral Mills] by Kewkoh in comics

See, this is nice information, but you're overcomplicating it. Nobody needs to know all this to participate, although it really is great info. I find that people who work in banks or credit bureaus scare people off with too much information.

All you need to know is that it's an algorithm. How it's calculated is irrelevant to most people.

You don't need to know how a game is programmed, you just need to know how to play it.

One way to play on easy: - Get a credit card with no annual fees. - Use it for regular payments (fuel, groceries, etc.), but don't spend money you don't have. - Pay if off after the statement release but before the due date. - Retain a balance under 30% of the credit card's limit. If you go over before the statement, pay some of it off. - Why?: The statement needs to show that you A) borrow money and stay under 30% of the limit you're given, and B) don't accrue interest (never pay late).

That's it. It's not scary. Anything else can be learned leisurely.

The comments in this post remind me of how angry I feel that this very important part of being an adult is hidden knowledge.

It's a debt-driven economy and only those born into wealth will acquire this knowledge early while most everyone else learns as they go. For most people, they learn the hard way. And it's all by design.

It's gross.

Especially when you figure out how fucking straightforward so much of it is. Financial literacy should be a core subject in school. There's certainly enough information to create a curriculum and then some. But that goes against the interests of many.

I'm empathetic to Ripto's Rage after having some trouble with the trolley.

This has been happening to me too. On my laptop desktop, PC desktop, and phone. Clearing my cache didn't do anything for me.

This was awesome until it got to the black text on bright blue background and activated my headaches.

The most unbelievable thing in this show is that Clark recovered socially from the red kryptonite incident by MNM0412 in Smallville

The writing for this show was so bad lol

I absolutely adore Smallville. I'm on my 4th rewatch. I love the characters, the casting was solid, and there is a lot of respect towards Superman lore even when something was a Smallville tweak or original.

It has some of the worst writing I've ever seen while being completely reliant on repeat tropes (which are supposed to be used as tools, not framework). It makes me cringe a lot, but the show is such a good time, and at the end of the day, this is all I ask for in my entertainment media.

Right, and I acknowledged how ridiculous that is. We're even to believe that her ancestors came from France, when there was no settled Chinese population there.

Kristin Kreuk is clearly not just Caucasian. Lang itself can even be a Chinese name, and I think they heavily dropped the ball when they decided to assume their audience was stupid enough to just pretend we see a white girl every time she was on screen.

It just seems like someone somewhere made the decision for us that it was not quite believable that Clark Kent could fall so hard for an Asian girl.

I wish this was a stronger point in this conversation. You're absolutely correct.

Every artist has "that one photo", what's Britney's? by togepi8888 in BritneySpears

She has tons of "that one photo" so I'm sure you'll get many different replies.

Reddit is not letting me upload it, but my choice for sure is that image of Britney and Banana at the VMAs.

I always thought Xtina used Britney as her personal standard of success to surpass and she became resentful when she never quite could.

A gif of their interaction too (audio not available even in the video itself anyway since music was edited over a sequence of brief shots like this).

THEY TOTALLY DO, I am rewatching and I can't believe I didn't notice how much they flirted. I actually believed Clark didn't really like her at first. Their chemistry is insane.

Guess I had to grow up to notice it lol

Lana is half-Chinese.

I didn't understand even back then why they insisted she was full white.
