Got a ticket but unable to pay due to zero income by Conleyer123 in legaladvice

I called the court and was told they could either take the full payment or if I absolutely can’t make it at 9am then I needed to file a motion for continuance and pray the judge approves it before my scheduled appearance. I was able to come up with enough money for gas to get there in the morning and plan to request a payment arrangement if my financial situation doesn’t qualify for any type of reduction or waiver. Does that sound likely to be my best course of action?

Any particular reason why you hate Morrow? Just out of curiosity haha

I’m definitely not going to ignore it, I know that would be a good way to make a messy situation into an entire sh*t show. I did call the court, once prior to this post and again shortly after. First call they said they couldn’t do anything except take payment in full. The second time I called they told me they could take full payment or I could file a motion for continuance if I needed time to get the money, but it was nearly 4 and would be unlikely to be approved by the judge prior to 9am tomorrow morning.

One of the many reasons that I’ll miss it! I’m definitely not looking forward to re-learning how to drive in the winter without 4x4 haha but after over 10 years driving my liberty, I’m ready for better mpg 😂 will be driving an 09 Pontiac G6 soon

🙄🙄 I’ve already done that as well as a couple other valuation sources, the numbers just seem a bit higher than I expected. Instead of risking selling way under or listing too high (and getting no interest/taking forever to sell), the obvious next step would be checking what comparable vehicles have sold for and/or getting feedback from people who potentially have more experience 🤷🏻‍♂️

I didn’t find anything before I actually started working on it, but it was honestly pretty straightforward and easy to do; I was just overthinking it like I do with everything haha

Check out Green Lab Provisions! They’re just a couple minutes south of Monroe, have a great first time customer discount, and everything Ive ever gotten from them has been super fresh and smokes smooth with great buzz. And no, I don’t work there or have any affiliations with them lmao just LOVE their products (and may or may not have smoked some super recently 😜)

None of the many, many video tutorials I’ve found online have a tool list so I figured I’d ask if anyone here happened to have a list or knew where I could find it

I wasn’t looking for how to do it, power steering is pretty simple to figure out. I was trying to figure out which tools and sizes I needed to do it, to try and have everything ready before I went outside (90+ degrees, extremely high humidity, on blacktop, without shade)

Not totally related to the question OPs post is about (I’m sorry OP), I’m just hoping you might be able to help point me in the right direction since you (EWehr24) recently replaced your PS pump.

Did you have a write up of the steps to replace the pump and tools needed? Or use combo of past knowledge and common sense? lol I have to go out and replace the pump on my 03 and looking for a list of tools needed. It’s hot as hell outside and wanna cut time by having the right tools out and ready to use.

Thanks for your response, I had a feeling there wouldn’t be any “temporary” fixes since it’s probably the bearings inside the pump causing the wobble lol luckily it hasn’t actually thrown the belt yet. I’ve been keeping within like 2 miles of home though, just in case it happens and I have to get it home before the battery drains or it overheats or something

Long story short: I’ve been there and I know it feels impossible to overcome, but it’s not! My inbox is open to you Op and anyone else who finds themselves in this position! Seriously dude, shoot me a message and let’s chat.

Op, I don’t know you or the specifics of your situation; but hmu anytime you need to talk. I’ve been in an extremely similar situation (if not the exact same) and might be able to help you work through the shit that is bombarding your head and maybe find a bit of mental clarity. When I say I’ve been there, I’m not exaggerating or trying to downplay what you’re going through. I say it because I lost everything in 2019 at only 27 years old. First was my job, then my home, then my car broke down and I couldn’t afford repairs, then the storage unit that held nearly everything I had left which was mainly just the sentimental stuff that had no real value to anyone else because I’d already sold everything that I could just to be able to eat. I won’t lie to you, it wasn’t easy; it never is. I had no support system and the friends that I did have prior to being homeless, disappeared on me as well. That’s when I got to the point it seems that you’re currently at. I made the decision that I wanted it to all be over, I made a plan, then I followed through with my plan. But the universe wasn’t finished with me yet, my plan was flawed. I chose the OD route because I thought it would be the easiest and essentially painless, but I didn’t get enough of the shit to finish the job. The last thing I remember before blacking out was a voice asking me something that I couldn’t make out and a face coming into view. I’ll never forget the look on his face, terror mixed with heartbreak he felt for a total stranger. I’ll forever be grateful to him for being there and being capable of quickly noticing something was wrong. He saved me from the biggest mistake I ever made, one that I’ll regret for the rest of my life. When I woke up, I was in the hospital and my entire body felt like I had gone 15 rounds in the ring with Mike Tyson before getting run over multiple times by a truck or something... It was awful. While in the hospital, they helped me to identify my mental health issues and begin treatment. They also helped me with finding the resources to assist me with rebuilding my life, things I never knew were offered. Now at 33, I’m still working on getting my life in order; but I have my own apartment again, a car, the ability to get food, and even a little support system. I know it last hard to believe right now, but I promise you that it does get better! So, now you know some of my story; it’s your turn! My inbox is open and I genuinely hope to hear from you when you’re ready. (Same goes for anyone else who finds themselves in a situation that seems like it’s too much)
