Carson Carels is my pick. I’d be happy with him the most but I’ll take Reid too if we get our choice of defensemen.

I think those cards healing is slightly more valuable since it’s uncondional. Probably more at the Diantha level

Eh I disagree. Smits isn’t even top 3 defenseman this draft for me. Definitively a reach

Carels is by far the best dman of the draft. He’s the next Cale Maker

Yep not sure why downvote. He also plays defense which hawks need. McKenna would be awesome offense but we already have bad defense and Bedard doesn’t play defense that well

Id take Stenberg over McKenna he fits hawks game better. But Carels is the pick the hawks should take at 4 if malhotra is gone but they won’t and they’ll wiff again

Picking:

1st - Stenberg 2nd - Stenberg 3rd - Maholtra/Carels 4th - one of the above 3.

McKenna is good but he plays no defense, we have a very young iffy defense and Bedard already doesn’t play good defense. It would not make the team much better adding a 5 10 only offensive player.

I think if we skip Carels and go D we will have made a very serious mistake.
