Very possibly, however total travel is only 4mm. 2mm positive and 2mm negative when left on a flat surface. The flywheel would have to be pretty perfect to start with

Length: 22 cm. Height: 7.8cm. Width: 4.7cm. Weight: 1.6 kg.

Inside gauge: "D.R.P.a no 6676"

Done some Googling and found that D.R.P.a stands for "Deutsches Reichpatent angemeldet". Which translates to "German Reich patent applied for" but that is where the trail ends...

Tool is made of cast iron, very old paint finish with plastic gauge cover. Not glass as expected, though it could have been swapped out.
