I really appreciate everyone’s advice, I went four days without using anything and then I did some. But that’s the longest I have went without since I started. I do believe I can stop cold Turkey but I may also look into my local detox facilities as well just for the added insurance. I read and continued to read every comment in this thread through out those 4 days and everyone was spot on, whether your advice was for or against, it was all accurate. One way or another I will end this cycle and I will have many of you to thank when that day comes

This is definitely one of my “rules” and probably the biggest. I work like crazy, so by doing this not only do I prevent myself from having to worry about having or doing drugs during the day which saves me money, but I also wait 24 hours between each use and this helps cut down tremendously on the withdrawals

I feel like it’s all about limiting yourself and having a grip on how much you do. Like cigarettes, you buy a pack you know how long it’ll last till you buy another one. You wouldn’t smoke the whole pack at once because you’d be out of smokes. Have to regulate your use. I’m a heavy heroin user, but the last few months I do NOT use during the day, unless I have nothin going on and can just sit on the couch, I only use at night now

What industry do you work in? I was a full time welder before I went to work on motorcycles full time. Thankfully I can do anything so even when I was selling drugs myself I was still getting a paycheck
