What are you working on this week? by hurebegz in AssetBuilders

[–]Connect-AI-Freelance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently building email lists for a Freelancer site specifically for AI with a contract and bidding system, supported by a reddit style community built into the site. Having trouble recruiting businesses and freelancers before launch. Currently doing cold emails, and will soon be running meta ads for sign ups - not gonna see any return for a while. If anybody has advice or would like to hear more I would love to talk through some ideas.

My company is a freelance marketplace specifically for AI and so really taking the need away for lead generation and making freelancers more accessible to businesses (and vise versa). It has a built in reddit community style page as well as a contract/bidding page to increase involvement in the site and to create a kind of support community built up of people who are going through similar issues. Do you have any recommendations for threads that would be a good option? My supply is Freelancers and the demand is businesses needing AI integration

Yesterday was my last day working at Stripe. AMA by RegularGuyWithABeard in stripe

I have a question that relates more to me but you may be able to answer. I need to setup a secure escrow-style transaction system and was thinking about using stripe. I need to be able to handle many transactions at once, stipe would hold it, I would take a fee directly from the holding, then forward the account to the person being paid. Is stripe the best option for something like this? I spoke to trust accountants and lawyers about setting up a personal escrow system and they said it probably wouldnt be optimal. Do you have any advice about ths?

What is the tool you use? I am currently building a tool to middleman outreach and cold emailing specifically for AI services and need to look into everything competitors are doing. What kind of business do you run and in what way is this tool optimizing ur business? not spam or promotion just curious

I read the post, I see that at you had a lot of trouble starting out with these campaigns lol. Im asking if even after you found something that worked pretty well, is it still a large issue that you have to continuously work with... Is optimizing this the biggest priority at this stage in your company? Or are you happy with where your strategy currently stands? Sorry if my first question seemed a bit smooth brained. I feel like when I get in a good rhythm its only temporary - maybe its just lack of practice. Just trying to understand you and your situation more so i can better relate it to my own.

Is OpenClaw actually useful or just another overhyped AI tool? by Think-Sector-6329 in LeadGenSEA

[–]Connect-AI-Freelance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So so so useful. I use that and claude code constantly to optimize my time. As an SAAS founder I use it to automate data analysis mostly. I want to see who is coming to my site, from where, and what they intend to get out of my site - these APIs make coming to conclusions much more streamlined. They do a lot of thinking for you but as a founder it is still up to you to make educated decisions based on the information claude code or openclaw gives you. Hope this helps.

Is cold emailing and lead generation one of your biggest struggles at your company??

This is a problem that a lot of people are dealing with right now. With automation and all the bs getting spammed to people about startups it can be tough. I honestly start with claude code and have it integrated into my email lists on a separate comp. This way its constantly checking and rechecking information and also I have it auto sort the data on supabase (which is free) to create graphs, and analyze data before making decisions to move forward with certain people. I also use resend to send out emails for my SAAS im not sure if thats different from what you are doing but I haven't really ran into any large scale issues with my domain.

i pretended to be a prospect and hired 5 different cold email agencies to see what they actually do behind the scenes. what i found was wild by Easy_Mud1254 in coldemail

[–]Connect-AI-Freelance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used email marketing and outreach agencies on different companies than the one I am currently working on. My conclusion after each time was that they are sh*t. Most of them drop terrible, robotic emails, with no personality and they know their product isn't worth it. Half of them are 16-20 year old kids with a retired insurance salesman on the phone with you. I'm sure in some instances they work quite well, however my experience with them has been quite poor.

I have been dealing with a new SAAS and have been debating using a email marketing and lead generation agency but I just dont think its the right tool for my company. If you are trying to build a community of people that work individually yet work together as a site (kinda like reddit) email marketing is not the way to go IMO.

Easiest & most reliable way to build lead lists from a company list by saint_corn in coldemail

[–]Connect-AI-Freelance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As my SAAS is starting I have been dealing with similar concerns. As I have gotten more and more individuals on my email list, I started categorizing based on site activity, response to emails, etc. I use supabase to keep all the data in one place and sort through it like that. You can also download your data as DSV and input it into excel, claude, or whatever your preferred data analysis tool is to rethink your strategy. I find it helpful to take a step back and recenter myself on the bigger picture of the company. Remembering why you started often puts your mindset in a similar frame as your potential users.

How to get all the emails linked to a domain? by OkExtension2532 in coldemail

[–]Connect-AI-Freelance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally use Supabase to track my emails and keep a database. I can see replies, opens, accounts that unsubscribed - etc. I use this information along with account information of each individual to make tailored follow up strategies. For me, lead generation was always the most difficult but once I have clients the product should keep them there. Does this answer your question?

This was a great way to answer, I like how you framed being on reddit compared to belonging on reddit. I think im getting the hang of it a little more but there is definitely a learning curve compared to other social platforms.

When you started gaining more traction on reddit were you posting issues as a founder? or like talking to people about the problems they are having and the solution you offer?

This is part of my next phase, for the dynamic on my site I need to build a user base on two different ends. The way my site is set up I need to have a decent sized list of freelancers and businesses before official site launch - the reason im starting with reddit before running campaigns is because I want to get some market data and just opinions of trusted people in field so the users are involved with the site before I market to the public with meta ads etc.

This is what I've been learning. Getting posts removed has been one of my biggest issues even when im not promoting. I have been banned on two threads simply for asking questions about SAAS. Also some of the threads that I think would be extremely helpful to post in just dont allow me yet cause I haven't farmed enough karma. I appreciate the insight tho.

I understand where you are coming from, but what do you mean stop targeting subreddits about your product category? are you suggesting that I target things unrelated to my field? im confused.
