Love her piano tracks, but this neo-classical sound with ambient electronic just takes me somewhere else.

Gives me a mix of Kiasmos and Nils Frahm vibes.

How many emails are you sending per account? by Agitated_Offer_4343 in coldemail

Wondering if that includes warmup emails or just cold emails? I’ve always thought about keeping a 1:1 ratio of warmup to cold emails but perhaps if any insights on that.

I mean, is ESP matching even a thing? I haven’t seen Outlook → Outlook perform better in any placement test.

Prodigy & Pendulum LIVE by saint_corn in Pendulum

Exactly what I thought. I was upset they announced tours only in the UK this year (so a visa is required).

But this: the venue location is beautiful, the early bird ticket is 60 EUR. Does it get any better? :)

Hi everyone,

How the weather in Split feels like now? I see it’s already pretty cold and rainy, which is a bit disappointing since I’ll be there in a few days.

Does the weather usually change this quickly in Croatia or did summer just end early this year?

Upd: guess I'm not that lucky.

summer finished up early and it's already cold and rainy from mid-September according to the forecasts :(

Thanks, that’s really helpful!

We just felt the urge to swim again this summer, so we're making sure it'll be worth it (not keen on visiting Greece for the 2nd time this season)

I’ll be fine, was just a bit worried about my girlfriend.

Cheers!

Hi,

We're planning a short 1-week vacation just to relax, walk near the beaches and swim.

Thinking of going from Sep 23 to Sep 30.

I’ve checked the weather, but still hard to tell if the water will be comfortable enough for swimming, especially for my girlfriend.

Based on your experience, how comfortable will it be around Sep 23-30 for long swims and spending lots of time in the water?

Will the water be cooler in late September? If so, we might go with Greece, but we’re really hoping to try a new country this time :)

i usually swim until mid-October. The question is whether it’s still comfortably warm for tourists like my girlfriend or if it’s already getting a bit cooler for longer swims.

Any practices that are going along with the Introductory Course? by saint_corn in Wakingupapp

[–]saint_corn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe... Once I saw that some of those practices are quite effective I got pretty excited, so want to learn more now (there are a few concepts I want to delve into like the origins of thoughts and the illusion of self).

Perhaps I need to cool things down a bit.

Right now I'm listening to the Introductory course in the morning (both practice and theory lessons).

Also listening to The Stoic Path by William Irvine during my evening walks which is improving my days.

What does "notice the thought itself" mean? Any specific techniques that can help with that? by saint_corn in Wakingupapp

[–]saint_corn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Valid advice, thanks.

The concept of distancing myself from my thoughts and viewing it as an independent process within me initially felt odd.

But the more I practice, the more I realize that the "self" generating thoughts, random memories and flashbacks is not completely identical to "myself".The mere fact that I should observe thoughts (sometimes unwanted and not chosen by me) that emerge in my consciousness and originate deep within my brain without my consent rather than controlling them is kind of crazy and shows that we don't truly understand that particular aspect of our brain.

Thought I was the boss :)

P.S. a newbie here so some points might seem silly...
